Why am I not surprised UGA fans want to ignore the BCS even though those were also won the field?

As a UGA fan, I’m all for forgetting the BCS era.

Now imagine you’re a fan of a team that doesn’t regularly compete for national championships and make the same argument. Your logic is flawed and you’re looking at it through the lens of a Bama fan.

In other words, "My team doesn't have much history so I'm ok with lobbying for it to be ignored."

Tennessee 1st BCS title, undefeated team. An actual national championship. None of that “didn’t win the conference but were given a place” Or selected because they were a helmet school” crap. That Tennessee title was actually earned like a paycheck, not given like a welfare check.

Dude, the only reason Tenn won in 98 is because Florida states’ starting QB couldn’t play. Y’all almost lost to Miss state in the SEC championship. They were beating y’all in the 4th quarter. That is one of the shittiest championship teams in the history of football.

No, the playoff should go to the Top 6 (with 1 and 2 getting a bye), and that should be it. Anything above that completely negates the results of the regular season.

There was nothing wrong with the BCS system. It was designed to give you a national title game on the field, nothing more. It worked.

It worked? USC was named national champs by the AP poll in 2003. They have the trophy in their trophy case. The national media largely refers to them as the champs. You really think the BCS worked?

You didn't even win your conference. The only real winners are AU, UA, UF, UT, and LSU.

Hey dumbass, a 4 team playoff isn’t much different than a 2 team playoff

As an Ar-kansas fan, you are correct. You haven't been to either so they are exactly the same for your football program.

Auburn fans know nothing about the CFP. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bro, without Cam that 2010 Auburn team would’ve been 7-5/8-4. It was a total fluke that you won. Kirby has actually built a program. Auburn hasn’t had a decent and consistent program since the early 2000s and may never have one again. Auburn is behind the times in a major way. Good luck with your new coach. Lol.

Undefeated, untied. SEC division and conference champions, 1st ever BCS championship. The 1st real national title. Bama has 1 undefeated and LSU has 1.

1998 Tennessee
1999 FSU
2000 OU
2001 Miami
2002 tOSU
2003 no clear championship
2004 Vacated
2005 awarded to Texas
2006 awarded to Florida
2007 awarded to LSU
2008 awarded to Florida
2009 Alabama
2010 Auburn
2011 awarded to Alabama
2012 awarded to Alabama
2013 FSU
2014 awarded to tOSU *playoff
2015 awarded to Alabama *playoff
2016 awarded to Clemson *playoff
2017 awarded to Alabama *playoff
2018 Clemson *playoff
2019 LSU *playoff
2020 Alabama *playoff **covid year
2021 awarded to UGA *playoff

10 actual undefeated untied conference champions, National Championships. The rest are legitimate and recognized, but lesser. A loss isn’t the end of the world, but not winning your conference should be a disqualification.

I suspect the shine of the 2021 season, and Georgia’s National Championship, is wearing off for you.

You’re trying to justify and elevate UGA’s success because deep down you know their title is forever tainted.

Alabama won the SEC in 2021, and beat Georgia on a “neutral” field in Atlanta. Georgia was then able to back door their way into the playoff due to a down year in CFB.

Cincinnati and Michigan? Really? That was the competition? Was Arkansas the best team Georgia played in the regular season? Georgia had a cakewalk schedule. Florida and Clemson were supposed to be the only hurdles, but both were much worse than preseason projections.

Congratulations you took advantage of a mulligan against the only really good team you faced all year.

Winning your conference is not a requirement for the CFP. Just make sure you're one of the top 4 teams. You're a Tennessee fan so you have an excuse for not knowing how the CFP works.

Oh come on. I loathed those teams but 2008 UF and 2010 Auburn were as real as they come.

LSU fans still brags about 2019, Auburn still brags about 2010, Florida still brags about 2008, and Tennessee still brags about 1998 (really?), yet Georgia's National championship is wearing off.
It's obvious your anus still hurts.

All 4 of LSU’s are legitimate plus the ncaa gives LSU credit for 1908 that is not claimed by the university because Tulane cried like a teat baby over it
