You haven’t won any conference championships this century. We’ve won three since your last.

Georgia had a cakewalk schedule

Georgia had the fourteenth toughest schedule in all of college football last season. You lose, try again.
Also, deep down inside you know that Georgia was the best team last year. But if calling it a mulligan helps you sleep at night...

BCS was equal to the playoff. The best team always wins in round one anyway.

It worked? USC was named national champs by the AP poll in 2003. They have the trophy in their trophy case. The national media largely refers to them as the champs.

You definitely strike me as someone who has to be told how and what to think.

3 in 22 years? Good for you, did you win the conference last year? No… so you were given a spot in the playoffs.

Winning your conference is not a requirement for the CFP.

Hence the qualifier “should be”. I get that a Georgia education is suspect but at least put a tiny bit of effort into this.

LSU fans still brags about 2019, Auburn still brags about 2010, Florida still brags about 2008, and Tennessee still brags about 1998 (really?), yet Georgia's National championship is wearing off.

We are very realistic about those championships. Tee Martin wasn’t represented as a great QB. The team won despite below average QB play. They had a loaded team with 18 (I believe) guys that had decent pro careers. But Martin was not one of them. He went into coaching and has carved out a really nice career for himself and will likely be a head coach in the next few years.

I dont know about all this because you have to consider the voting parties at the time of the championships but UCF's is total bullshite because the of the voting parties of the time named them national champs.

The one that always got me, and they've laid off the last few years was Aubie always disputed our AP/UPI split titles, which continued until 91 when washington and Miami split, when their 57 title was a split title with Ohio state that was awarded before the bowl game as was custom back then.

Then which 4 legit teams do you believe should have been in the playoffs? I doubt if you'll answer my question, because once you try you'll see the fallacy of your argument.
Once again I understand that a Tennessee fan wouldn't know anything about the CFP.

Was 2017 Bama the best team that year? Yes, because they proved it on the field

They didn’t even win their division, much less their conference.

How do you think Alabama made the playoffs? They were voted in by a popularity contest.

You can’t possibly be this stupid irl.

Bro, without Cam that 2010 Auburn team would’ve been 7-5/8-4.

Good thing we had Cam then isn't it? Because we went undefeated, didn't have to backdoor our way in in a watered down system, or rely on the team that dusted us to play without their best playmakers only to still squeak by.

You're right though, now that college football has ceased to exist and is nothing more than a minor league NFL system funneled through college campuses Auburn is probably going to struggle going forward. Luckily I give little fricks about an NFL minor league and I got to see my team win legit national titles, without help, while college football still existed to some degree.

Yet you still spend your time on a college football website discussing, wait for it, college football.

You want to talk about academics? UGA is a much better school than Tennessee and is much harder to get into. Look at literally any ranking.

3 SEC championships this century for UGA is better than 0 for Tennessee.
1 Natty this century is better than 0 for Tennessee.
Your program is absolute garbage and never will be good again. You don’t have the athletic program to win a natty in football, basketball, or baseball. Even the Mississippi schools can win baseball national championships. Tennessee is a complete joke and your school isn’t good at anything. And don’t tell me your program wouldn’t be ecstatic about winning a national championship despite losing the conference championship.

Dude, UGA is a great vet school and necessary if you want to go into politics outside of Atlanta but not special.

Per the UGA admissions page:
quote:

At UGA, the only minimum score requirements in place are the ones required by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia for admission to its research universities: that is, an SAT-EBRW of 480 and SAT-Math of 440, or subscores of 17 on both the English and Math sections of the ACT.

Sub 1000 sat or a 17 ACT… and a C average gets you in.
UGA admissions website

But honestly that seems beyond you so my remark was directed at pubic (K-12) schools in Ga. The last 10-15 years have seen them become a joke. Not that they were great before but they have really fallen off of late.

What?

Average UGA admitted student this year had:

>4.0 GPA, had taken 10 dual enrollment or AP classes in HS, and scored between 31-34 on the ACT.

Admitted students are different from minimum standards.

From your link:
“Please remember this is not the GPA students see on their high school transcript, but rather the GPA that UGA recalculates for everyone based on the core academic courses taken in high school and looking at the actual grades posted on the transcripts. Roughly 90% of the HS core grades were A’s, and 9+% were B’s, thus showing the academic strength of the accepted group”

So they weighted and recalculated grades and scores. If you made a B in an AP class it became an A (one full grade point higher. So an 80 became a 90, an 85 became a 95?

Georgia public school
70-79 C
80- 89 B
90-100 A

UGA recalculates that up 10 points is it was a “CP, Honors, Advanced, AP, IB, DE” type class.

In Tennessee the public schools grade a bit different.
75-84 C
85- 92 B
93-100 A

Average GPA to be accepted at UT
3.96 (actual GPA)
Average SAT 1240
Average ACT 27
And you need an essay
