Are LSU fans really prepared to go to the mattresses for Lane?

Let’s be honest, without Lane in Baton Rouge, events don’t get to this point. All he had to do was tell these players, “Thanks, but no thanks” and this all goes away. His need to be a constant gadfly and troll is a large part of what is driving this. Right now, tRant is all stirred up with emotion and cries of secession are in the air. But, 6-7 years from now when you’re big rivalry game is the University of Houston on ESPNU, will it all have been worth it?

(You do realize that if Armageddon happens, Lane is skipping town, right?)

Isn't that what he did? I might have missed it, but have these players been added to LSU's roster?

Are the rest of you prepared to go to the mattresses to protect Sankey's ego?

Seems like this can go both ways.

LSU fans have felt the SEC has an axe to grind with our programs long before lane.

Many are willing (myself included) to draw the line in the sand here and let the SEC boot us if need be.

LSU actually has something to lose.

Is Lane’s ego worth leaving the SEC?

Yes because turning on Lane is exactly what they want.

Hes taking the last piece out of the corrupt jenga tower that is CFB and they are terrified.

They care about the money, and all he cares about is winning.

What’s the downside for the SEC if LSU leaves?

they are pretty clueless about anything outside of lsu so I'd bet the majority of them would.

The question they should be asking is would Lane go to the matress for them?

There is a large body of evidence that suggests he would not.

I didn't say if LSU leaves. I said if the SEC loses here. Will that have been worth all of this for the conference?

It’s kind of astonishing how many posters here are licking the SECs boots

How many times have they buttfricked y’all’s schools?

Did you see that game Saturday night? Yes, I'm prepared to tear it all down and start over if we have to, if it means Lane is our coach.

Every school in the SEC takes a hit. Which is why nothing will come of it. They're using the votes as leverage.
