Truthfully, yes. Never even slightly wanted
Dabo at Bama. He simply would not be a good fit
but a bit of apprehension lingered that if
his dancing, Heaven pointing & rubbing a rock act was still working at Clemson
when the time came, the track might be slick enough for him to slide through the back door.

Don't have anything against Dabo, but I don't want him as HC at Bama. So not exactly happy he is struggling, but ultimately if it moves decision-makers away from considering him as Saban's successor then that's a good thing imo.

Hard pass. All the aw shucks, Lil Ole Clemson, "all in", "family", and attributing football success to divine intervention crap is so disingenuous it's a little sickening. Dabo is Hugh Freeze with enough sense to use a burner phone.

Dabo would not be able to survive Bama. His shtick wouldn’t work there

Dabo is not well-liked by Alabama boosters.

Kiffin or Cristobal

Am told it is these 2 that will get the call and will most-likely accept.

Most Bama fans I personally know can't stand Dabo. I include myself if this observation.

I want Cristobal or Mel Tucker so bad. Dudes are doing great relative to their program.

The guy I am keeping an eye on whose potential rise fits more so with a Saban retirement in 3-4 years is:

His act didn't please those that would be making that decision anyway.....who cares what the fans think, they wanted dubose and we see how that worked out.

Dabo will probably lose at least 2 more this year.

Yeah.

Mario Cristobal, Mel Tucker and Lane Kiffin. Not necessarily in that order.

The next Alabama coach is 99.9% one of those 3 names.

I think it's a bit premature to be shoveling soil on Dabo's casket. Everybody has down years every now and then. Just wait a while.

Just not sure the window works for Cristobal. He will either have something great established at Oregon or not have the track record we want.

He might still leave there, but if he has it rolling I could definitely see him staying there.

Mario would take the UA job at any point it was offered to him. His inlaws live in ATL and his wife and two boys spent alot of time there while in Ttown.

He is infatuated with the tradition and culture at UA.

If thats the case then honestly I'm not sure there is another option. You go get him unless his program somehow collapses in the next few years.

Put me in the camp that it's someone not on the radar right now. We're talking 8-9 years down the road.

And I'm pretty sure it will be someone that's a proven championship level head coach...not the flavor of the month that year.
