I doubt Alworth would get a statue at Ole Miss like he did at Arkansas but, damn, was he electric.

I'm glad Vaught had the rule because I would have hated to see him on those 59-61 Ole Miss teams which were damn good.
I rib the Rebs a lot because I don't like them but LSU-Ole Miss was the best southern rivalry in the late 50s and early 60s.

And he didn't win a national championship, or even a sec championship! So why should he get a statue, or is it just another ole piss claim to greatness without actually producing anything to show for it, so they have to manufacturer something? Like the 2003 co west sec championship banner.

Archie was and is a highly underrated player. He played on a mediocre team and carried them on his back. Great player.

Archie was basically that era's Johnny Manziel. If he had modern tv blasting every game and highlight everywhere, Archie easily wins the Heisman.
