Ok you little fricker... What rule did LSU break? Seriously. Name it.
LSU did not put Wright or Harris on the Clemson roster. LSU submitted 103 players and left two spots open. Neither former NFL player dressed or played. LSU then beat Clemson 51 to 10 without either one of them. So as of today, LSU has committed ZERO violations of the SEC's former-professional roster rule.
But what about ALL this:
Alabama: Charles Bediako declared for the NBA Draft, didn't withdraw, spent years playing professional basketball in the G League, then returned to Alabama and actually played five games under a state-court TRO. The SEC knew exactly what was happening. Nobody convened the presidents to throw Alabama out of the conference.
Texas A&M: The SEC itself determined A&M violated the rules by staging an injury to manipulate a football game, fined the school $50,000 and reprimanded Mike Elko. Somehow A&M remained a member of the SEC.
Ole Miss: The NCAA found a mountain of serious violations: impermissible benefits, recruiting violations, academic misconduct, false information and failure of institutional control. The penalties included a postseason ban, scholarship reductions, probation and ultimately 33 vacated wins. Somehow the SEC didn't decide Ole Miss's membership was incompatible with the conference.
And right now Ole Miss is under an NCAA tampering investigation concerning Luke Ferrelli. That's an allegation/investigation rather than a proven violation at this point, so I won't pretend otherwise. But nobody is scheduling an expulsion vote for Ole Miss Thursday.
Alabama baseball is currently on NCAA probation stemming from wagering/ethical-conduct violations involving its former head coach. Still an SEC member.
But today? Tell me the rule LSU has actually broken and the act that violated it.
You can't. Because it NEVER happened.
