mean yes obviously in retrospect at this point Landry and Odell are better, but in terms of single season production from a WR corps they weren’t even close to what we had last year

You give Landry and Odell a Heisman winner throwing to them and a system it wouldn't be close.

All of the WR talent for Bama and lsu back when neither team used them properly is such a facepalm looking back at it

No kidding.

Julio barely broke 1000 yards playing for Alabama - even in a crowded batch like now, I think he'd easily get 1500. As the primary WR without as many studs, probably 2000.

I mean dude you can’t know that. Jefferson looks like a budding NFL star already and we haven’t even seen Chase and Marshall yet. All 3 could be NFL stars and they may end up better than Odell or Jarvis. It’s way too early to say none of them will ever be what Odell or Jarvis are

If I'm being 100% honest, probably depends on the QB.

Regardless, you're not going wrong with either batch.

And if Jefferson in the NFL is any indication of how Chase and Marshall will be, then last years trio may end up better than Odell and Jarvis

That's difficult to project because it depends on the team he goes to. Same with Smitty...I think Chase will be a stud not sold on Marshall.

This definitely isn’t an uncommon sentiment

Very close - amazing that both teams have been able to attract such talent

Cam sims ( actually very underrated )

This is random AF.

I mean he wasn't bad, but "underrated" is typically reserved for someone who produces at a high level but doesn't get respect. Cam Sims never came close to producing at a high level. Granted he was surrounded by great WRs... I'd say he is properly rated in that he is forgettable by most non-Alabama fans.

Tyron Johnson and Trey Quinn aren’t LSU products, both played the majority of their collegiate snaps elsewhere

You must not be watching the NFL. He has been great for the Washington Football team.
He’s their top tier wr with Mclaurin.
Guy made a one hand catch that was amazing.

Bama. They actually get coaching to go along with that natural talent

OBJ is overrated, but Jefferson has really outperformed my expectations.

Thought Chase would be the breakout guy, guess that remains to be seen.

To me it comes down to what Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith and Waddle do in the NFL.

Was really disappointed with Jeudy in particular, but WRs looking good year 1 is the exception not the rule.

Go back far enough to include Don Hutson on the list, and the answer is obvious.

Robert Foster is currently playing in the NFL.

Didn't see Don Hutson, holder of most NFL receiving records for 50 years, on your list.

Especially considering that neither team was considered much of a passing team until quite recently.

If going back that far, need to include Eddie Kennison too.

Kennison is a little further back that anyone else on the list. His last year at LSU was 1995. I noted the others because he went back as far as Josh Reed (2001), and the guys I mentioned came after Reed.
