Saban demanding that the drunk as shite college kid stay until the 4th quarter. That sounds really enjoyable --- September, 2pm, 101 degrees, Bama up 55-3 in the 3rd quarter over McNeese State.

quote:

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - The Tide Loyalty Points Program comes several months after Alabama football Coach Nick Saban called out students who didn’t show up or left early during a home blowout win over Louisiana-Lafayette.

quote:

“Through the Tide Loyalty Points program, students will earn points for attending home football games and for their support in the 4th quarter,” the email read. “Those points will contribute to students’ priority access to regular and postseason tickets

quote:

Students can also lose points if they have a ticket to a football game and don’t use it.

While I respect the hell out of Saban as a coach he's an idiot when it comes to this topic.

They must be planning on scanning ACT cards when entering and exiting BDS. It's the only way they can give loyalty points for students that stay into the 4th qtr. Good luck with that Coach.

Saban doesn’t have time for you to enjoy the game. Keep your asses in the seat and shut up

Didn’t read the article but how are they tracking who is leaving? Have a teacher doing roll call in the 4th quarter or checking seat to seat? What if somebody was taking a piss or getting a hot dog?

I agree with this approach. If it works as proposed, then the ones that really do want to watch the games will eventually get the seats.

They'd have to scan ACT cards at the gate when entering and exiting the stadium. It's the only way to track who's staying for the whole game & then accumulating the points. Saban needs to get on the AD cut out the damn cupcake games if he wants fans to stay and watch.

No one's sweltering in the heat in fricking September to watch Alabama destroy ArkyState & UL.

I like football as much as the next guy, but when you're a student and it is 56-7 midway through the third quarter, there are better places to be then at the football stadium.

That's all they're attempting to do (probably won't work, but what the hell .)
I'm fascinated by the poorly veiled negative responses from those jealous, envious fans of other teams.

Yeah I remember being a student, hungover as shite from Friday night, and being pretty miserable for Saturday's 11am game.

Bama fans, are students not allowed to sell their student tickets? I remember making a few bucks doing that back in the day.

There's no jealousy involved in thinking that if you pay for a ticket then it's your right to leave whenever you want to.

Meh, I don't care about kids leaving in the 4th of 50 pt games against ULL. That's silly.

I care about kids not showing up at all for SEC games or leaving at halftime of games against ranked teams, no matter the score. That's not silly.

more difficult schedule could sure up this problem by creating more genuine interest in the outcome.

We won our conference home games last year by an average score of 40-14.

Almost every one game, regardless of opponent, has been a blowout recently.

I'm not sure what you want me to take from that. It doesn't change the validity of what I said. Seems like Alabama has two FCS games scheduled a season.

Yet they don’t.
