Well what is Aggie going to use as their baseless trash talk now?

Lost to LSU in football.

Lost the recruiting ranking to Alabama.

Preseason hype was proven wrong.

Where do you baws pivot now?

Because Alabama only took in 24 kids from high school vs the A&M 27, while Alabama had a much higher average.

Let's take away A&M's 3 lowest-rated signees to make it even:

A&M - 323.93
Alabama - 321.80

So what will Fisher do with the recruits?

Here is what Saban is doing with recruits and transfers

Use it to his advantage.

I have to laugh at the rankings system these days. It appears the world simply couldn't handle A&M having the best class. Not ready yet I guess.

Neanderthals

I think you still have the number 1 class for incoming HS recruits. Don't think that has changed. FWIW, 2 of the Bama players are essentially 1 year loaners (Ricks/Burton) unless something crazy happens... Not sure about Gibbs... would probably have to have a pretty crazy year to consider bouncing early. In the grand scheme of things, you want to do your building via HS recruits, and fill gaps with transfers. Bama is in a position to win *now*, so unsurprisingly they'll take some more impact players via the portal this season. Fast forward 1-2 seasons, and aTm may find themselves in win *now* mode and do the same...

We are now shifting that focus away from just recruits and to all incoming talent no matter the age or origin of the kid.

No we aren’t doing that.

Interesting theory. So Alabama is winning all of these championships with a lot less talent than we were led to believe?

This star rating system is supposed to be a predictor of future performance and readiness to play CFB. Therefore 5* player is more likely to have more production and success than a 3* player. Let start from that premise.

What I said is these sites are either being paid to change the ratings by boosters to benefit Bama. Create the perception this is where all the great players go. One possibility.

Or, what I think is more likely, it is the site hedging their bets. They think Bama will win because of Saban. Pretty safe bet, so they change the rating based on who goes to Bama right now; Gump bump. The benefit to them is they can say, "come to my website we predicted all these 5 stars at Bama and see they won a championship." Give me clicks and I make money. Bama is not winning championships because they are getting 247 5 stars, they are winning because Saban develops players. This is NOT about rating players, this is about sucking in clicks to websites for advertisements.

For this star system to be truly about talent and potential outcomes, which it is not, teams like LSU 2019 would not happen. How can Bama/UGA full of 5*s get beat by LSU 2019 full 2* and 4* players? Why did LSU not have that many high star players, they were not expected or predicted to win. I have even posted in another thread how these sites change their ratings after a player's career is over to appear more accurate.

Again, this is all about these sites hedging their bets.

A&M has proven they are not going to win, therefore if they get rated #1 and then perform the normal Aggie way, the star rating system is not very accurate. Less clicks. Bama is a safer bet than Aggie when you are worried about the "accuracy" of your star system which drives your clicks.

While we all know this is true, the aggy melt is worth ignoring it.

A&M lost the QB that beat Alabama and gained the QB that lost to Alabama. Is that what people mean when they say, 'Addition by subtraction?'

This is ALL just a pissing contest!
A&M, Georgia, and The Tide ALL have great recruiting classes...and unlike some of our other brothers(and little brothers), things are looking UP for us!!!
Let's quit bitching and go to work making the top of this league a monster!

I see 8-4 in your future.

Losses to Alabama, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss.

You beat
Florida, Tennessee, Auburn Miss State.

Everyone else is a cake walk.
