Well, to be fair, they weren't on our original schedule.

We were slated to travel to Malibu for a weekend series against Pepperdine, but the weather out there didn't cooperate.

High Point was scheduled to play Cal Baptist in Riverside that weekend, but it was cancelled due to weather as well.

Alabama and High Point decided to play each other instead of taking the weekend off.

This is the same poster who watched Alabama barely beat Texas and surmised that Texas A&M was going to win the West.

Hours later, they lost to Appalachian State at home.

Jinx engaged.

Alabama baseball is fricked bigly.

Gotcha. Just has a name that sounds like a made up for profit online school like Full Sail University.

Tubby did a 4 year retirement coaching tour there. They were not good.

And they hired G.G. to replace him.

Based on their opponents so far, it looks like Nick Saban earned some extra stipend money by helping the baseball program figure out their non-conference schedule.

Next week, they travel to Florida and the Gators will be their first significant opponent of the year. I've guessing the Gators take the series or sweep the Tide.

They are trying to take a page from the old Tennessee non conference scheduling.

13-17 in SEC play is a pretty good baseball team.

The SEC might be the most dominant conference in the history of any sport right now in baseball. Being "middle of the pack" in-conference or even slightly lower than that is possibly still a top 25 ranked team. The SEC is a brutal slog these days. Bama's baseball program is pretty good right now compared to most of the rest of the country and getting better.

I could understand the hostility had a bama fan started the thread or if bama fans were starting multiple threads peacocking the baseball season so far, but that isn't and hasn't been the case. So settle down. We all know we haven't played anyone and we are waiting to play someone with a pulse before we get excited.

Pretty impressive then for a "never-been" to sweep the National Champs at their house isn't it?

Alabama was yet to play a single opponent that currently has a winning record.

They have yet to play a single "Quad 1" game as measured by either RPI or ELO:

This weekend, they're hosting 1-6 Columbia for a series. I imagine SEC play will be a shocking wakeup call for Mr. Bohannon's club.
