We’ve got a Saban clone being prepared in a highly classified REC lab.

I wish Schumann would come be our DC, though.

Then I hope you have a good backup plan. It would suck to miss out on a good coach because you focused on a guy who isn’t leaving

We don't know that. Things aren't always what they seem when it comes to coaches and their athletic departments. There is the public face("I'm leaving Ole Miss in a pine box", for example), and then there is the real one. He is still young for a head coach and he will be presented with a lot of better opportunities going forward. I think UGA and you are making a bad assumption just because he played there.

The difference historically between Georgia and Bama is 2 coaches? Bama has had more than 2 great coaches and the difference ls can’t be dismissed that easily. There is an incredibly vast difference historically between the two that would require paragraphs to cover not sentences.

And we’ve never heard of any issues with Kirby and their AD. He’s getting everything he wants.
Kirby isn’t happening unless he starts to stumble and is unhappy. And at that point would you really want him?

Smart is going to be targeted by several NFL teams following this season.

I don’t see it translating to the NFL. But he would obviously have to consider it

The Dolphins were not Saban's alma mater.

But right now, if you ask the powers that be in T-Town, who their first choice is, they would say Smart.
The "powers that be" in Tuscaloosa are just as delusional about the lure of Bammer as the bandwagon fanbase.

Not really. These days college money is close to NFL money.

What?! Saban was on the verge of being fired by the Dolphins. His team was floundering and his players wanted to kick his arse.

IF that was his only reason for the assumption than you'd be a 100% correct but There's literally nothing the Bama job can offer that the Georgia job can't.

Now if we get a new President and or AD
that isn't "all in" and wants to take us back to the way things were done pre
Kirby, there's a possibility that he'll
move on.

No it wouldn’t! You do realize Kirby played for Georgia right! Georgia will retire as the head coach at Georgia unless he has NFL aspirations.

Both Kirby and his wife played for and graduated from UGA. I just can’t see him leaving for another college job.
