Yes, because he will certainly leave the school at which both he and his wife played and the program that he built to go to Bama for the same money he's making at UGA.

That's speculation and I think Saban will let Byrnes make that call as he should.

And that's speculation as well. All we can do is sit back and watch it play out when the time comes. Simply put, none of know......it's all speculation until it happens.

When the time comes to pick a replacement, I think Saban will have 99.9999% control over who it is.

That'd be dumb

Yep, combined with the dominating factors of mother nature, ego, and Mrs. Terry !

Why would bammer want any of those over Kirby, right now?

We aren't talking about right now, we are talking after Saban retires, in 8 years. And my point is that Bama can get who they want.

Kirby has built a better program than Bama now

Why would he downgrade?

That'll never happen. Alabama doesn't have the money UGA has if it were to come to that. Tuscaloosa is like Baton Rouge compared to Athens as a place to live, too.

Kirby is at home, sweet home, Georgia!! To stay!!

Yeah, yeah, and Tubbs is leaving Ole Miss in a pine box and Saban is not going to be Bama's coach.

Can they?

Why did Rich Rod turn you down and what
in the world could Bama offer Kirby that UGA couldn't?

A more prestigious job than UGA. A program, unlike UGA that has proven it has the ability for long term
elite success for long periods of time. When Rich Rod turned down Bama it was not stocked with Saban recruited athletes.

He will wish him well. Hire a new and better guy and continue to win. I don’t believe anyone has mentioned that Kirby just signed a 10 year contract at $10 plus mill a year. This UGA alum and former football player isn’t going anywhere. His wife is an alum as well as a former basketball player at UGA. His family roots run deep there. Kirby has built his program his way and he’s not walking away from that. He gets everything he needs to win and that’s not gonna change. Athens is now his home and as we have found out Georgias former coaches don’t leave Athens. All still live there. Don’t blame them. I’m planning on that myself in the foreseeable future. There is only one Athens and Tuscaloosa doesn’t come close.
