I mean, he made some good A-Day catches. However, all the catches were against two guys that didn't see the field in ANY capacity this season. He wasn't getting separation against those guys.

I think the freshmen receivers were undermined more by Bill O'Brien's offensive approach than the head coach. Though ultimately, Saban hired the guy so he takes the final blame.
The rotations were bad because the top man on the offensive staff only wants WRs who can run his plays "just so" on the field therefore a man like Bolden who has not athletic pop whatsoever was taking snaps from someone like JoJo Earle. BOB ruined Billingsley because he tried to force him to be a traditional TE rather than a mismatch hybrid player. Dude doesn't understand in college you have to scheme ways to get players with athletic ability the ball and let them break down the future lawyer on the opposing defense. This ain't the pro game where precision and execution is how every play is made.
Saban made a bad OC hire and had even worse luck with injuries on offense. I think we can all agree this season nullifies the other half decade of documented success.
