quote:

Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp has directed leaders of its 11 universities and eight agencies to stop asking job candidates for statements about their commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in their applications.

quote:

“No university or agency in the A&M System will admit any student, nor hire any employee based on any factor other than merit,” Sharp said in a directive sent to university leaders Thursday.

Now tell our LSU President not to be such a clown

Good job Aggie. That's how it should always be.

What about retention? Can’t tell me Jimbo’s performance merits his current role with the university

A&M is a very conservative run university

That’s a very relative term in the academic world.

Yep academia in general leans left, A&M is no different but I guess less so than other universities.

It's kind of ironic because Sharp is a big democrat. Granted he's more of a bluedog, old school democrat, but he has lots of friends within the dem party and upper circles.

DEI statements are only good as defacto pledges to the people’s party. They’re a filtering mechanism to keep the conservative riff raff off the faculty.

That pledge makes people feel good at night when you place it under your pillow. Next thing you know money is missing off the counter and your daughter is knocked up.

But if you want me to take a dump in a box, then mark with with a DEI Pledge, I’ll do it. But only if it makes you feel better about yourself.

Well, if you've got spare time...

But I love seeing this. I hope every other school that matters follows suit.

Right, I thought it was clear. Still a good thing.

Anyone who knows even a scintilla about Texas A&M University isn’t surprised by this occurrence.
However, the kids around this cesspool who enjoy the lowest-common-denominator shtick will do their own thing.
It’s all good; the dorks around here keep me returning.

That's excellent. Hopefully the tide is turning and more universities will follow this example. Well done, A&M.

Good. I hate diversity. I won't even buy neopolitan ice cream.

DEI pledges are just empty words. But I guess some people don’t know about the crossing your fingers behind your back while saying a pledge life hack.
