Funny OU went up record amount …. You dragged yourself down … and we didn’t even get a full share nice try . I know OU is top 10 in revenue . We were as high as second in 2021 I believe .. 220 mil in revenue and where was Mizery at? If it wasn’t for the sec payday you would be thought of as a mid tier conference team. OU made 220 mil and only 27.5 was from sec .

Yessir. They finally created the perfect Plantation Leagye that was easy enough for Baylor to win, but that STILL wasn’t enough. We tried to warn y’all of their conference herpes.

Texas and Oklahoma were the best additions and if we hadn't taken them, the B1G would have. You people are so damn clueless I wonder how you function at all.

B1G would take Texas (in AAU) no way in hell they would ever take okie who isn't in AAU.

Not to forget Missouri left the B12 shouting about joining the Big10......
Only the B10 said no no no little one, we don't want you.

lol. Not true, but then all Whorns do is LIE.

Missouri was offered (and rejected) the same junior partnership Nebraska took after we said Hell NO. The SEC then offered us and the Nubs and Mizzou's futures have been on drastically different trajectories since.

Meanwhile your program cratered and you came begging the SEC realizing you were being marginalized in your self-created bed of shite. Facts.

Nebraska says hello....not in the AAU. They were kicked out of the AAU in 2011, the same year they joined the B1G.

In every conference vote that ever occured, on every topic (revenue sharing, retaining tier 3 rights, being able to start your own network) Missouri (and A&M) voted EXACTLY THE SAME as Texas on every single vote. Their university was perfectly aligned with Texas.

Not true...but if it makes you feel better go for it.

Texas "controlled" every aspect of the SWC and the Big 12. Both Conferences crumbled as a result. What bothers Texas Fans most, is the SEC invited A&M and Missouri, and snubbed Texas because of their negative attitudes of entitlement. I think they got a rude awakening when they came to the SEC and the Old Guard shut them down. My hope is the old guard stands firm, but like any virus, Texas virus will eventually have a negative influence on OUR conference.

"invite" is a pretty strong word. I'm pretty sure Aggy and Mizou showed up at the SEC headquarters with their ball and asked to play. SEC saw an opportunity to spread their footprint and gain 35 million in viewers. The real question is whether they would have taken Aggy if Texas went first? I will say probably, but it's not a certainty.

Those other schools like Vandy are foundational to what the SEC has become. They’ve played significant roles going back almost 100 years. We’ve no idea what their off the field contributions have been in academics, politics and the like that have advanced the clout of the SEC and thus its prowess on the field.

Will? I already do. This whole football season sucked.

Texas wasn't invited...A&M was. We all know why no one wanted Texas...see previous posts.

Texas brought the most money into the conference this year.

Maybe Mizzou should pull their weight

The SEC is without a doubt the greatest show on turf. I'm not really worried about balancing their budget.

Texas wasn't invited

Texas has had a standing invitation to the SEC since the 1980s. It is clear from your posts in this thread that you are absolutely clueless.

Only because the 'master negotiator' SEC commish and the moron presidents/AD's FAILED to include any type of escalator clause in their contract w/ disney-espn. The B10 did include such a clause and received significantly more $ when USC/UCLA were added. The SEC on the other hand...SCREWED UP !!

Speaking of clueless....SEC chose A&M before little brother Texas.

Here you go, dipshit.

quote:

"The one that made the most sense was Texas," Schiller said. "I spent some time with DeLoss Dodds (the Texas athletic director) and he really wanted to join the conference."

Done deal. Everything agreed to but the name on the dotted line. Then, it all came apart.

"The state legislature (in Texas) somehow got wind of it through Texas A&M and said we had to bring in both schools or we couldn't take Texas," Schiller said.

The SEC didn't want A&M.

Straight from former SEC commissioner Harvey Schiller. Every expansion the SEC has made was done to lure the big fish in Austin.

First, Texas rival Arkansas.
Then, Texas rival Texas A&M.
Finally, they got their white whale, Texas. Along with another Texas rival, Oklahoma.
