Eh.
I still don’t think there is tape that holds up to prime MJ athletically.
Maybe top to bottom but the studs were still studs.

He did something only Pistol Pete accomplished and that speaks volumes.

I did.
Did you know that Acuff against Alabama did something no other player did, college or pro, other than Kobe Bryant?

Acuff has already done what Chris Jackson never could, advance past the second round in the tourney.

Texas always has a horseshoe up their arse. It’s why their players always look so happy.

He is literally in the conversation (stat wise) with Pistol Pete. That's crazy. He's a freshman.

6,7,10,11 are actually the best seeds to have in the tournament, because you never face a 1 seed until the final 4. Its something that needs to be addressed by nmtge NCAA.
The 11 spot has been a great path for deep march runs the last few years for that reson.
4,5,8,9 are almost impossible to get to the Final 4 unless someone knocks off the 1.

Derrick Rose was elite as a fresh PG.

Not sure how we contained him so well, Boogie for all his faults is a good defender. Probably an off game for Acuff as well.

Chris Jackson was a great shooter in college (I didn't follow his NBA career), but he wasn't a PG. I think those LSU teams would have been better if they hadn't relied on Jackson so much. Acuff is more of a pure PG than Jackson and it's actually his PG skills that impress me the most.

Rose was 8PPG, 2 APG worse, and on worse shooting splits in every single category, and with a higher turnover rate than Acuff has had this year, despite playing at a higher pace.

Carmello Anthony and Kevin were pretty damn good as freshman and Acuff is right there with them.

He knows there is nothing to celebrate yet. Work to do.

He's the best out there right now, but if you transported him back in time he'd get called for travelling, double dribbling and palming every time he touched the ball. So no, he wouldn't dominate the game. He'd probably get laughed out of the arena.
And if you transported any of those guys from the past to today they'd all be saying "wait, I can travel, double dribble and palm the ball?"
Today's game is much easier for ball handlers. And four steps for a layup?

Acuff is a rich man’s Jalen Brunson.
His ceiling is so high.
Other than SGA, what NBA guard would you take over Acuff right now?
