Rose was 8PPG, 2 APG worse, and on worse shooting splits in every single category, and with a higher turnover rate than Acuff has had this year, despite playing at a higher pace.

They're similar players. Rose had Chris Douglas-Roberts which took a lot of the scoring pressure off. Both can take over a game when needed.

Let's not forget about Jalen Brunson (thanks Makersmark1). He was a starter that led Villanova to a national title.

I’m sure I’ll get some heat for this (because Kentucky fan) but I still think Wall edges him out because of the defensive comparison. Wall had a nose for steals on top of his offensive ability. He’s still the fastest PG I’ve seen on the court. Dude was just insanely good in college.

I do think Acuff is the best offensive PG Cal’s ever had.

Interestingly enough (and potential pro/career success aside) I think Tyler Ulis was the best true, complete PG he ever coached. High basketball IQ and had some of the best court vision I’ve seen in an PG. His size and the later his injury from the accident limited his career. I do think he’ll be one of the Cal assistants that goes on to be a good HC.

6,7,10,11 are actually the best seeds to have in the tournament, because you never face a 1 seed until the final 4. Its something that needs to be addressed by nmtge NCAA.

Wall was really good and gets lost in the injuries and wasted career in Washington. Unfortunate.

Still hard for me to get past the scoring, 3pt shooting % and Wall having 2x TOs/game.

Acuff does not get enough credit for how much he takes care of the ball.
