While our usual response would be rivalry: denied... I'll be honest. We'd be lost in an SEC where we didn't play Ole Miss every year. Its out best rivalry in the SEC (yes, that includes A&M) historically speaking.

The games are generally fun and unpredictable. 68 games with an average score of 20-18.

We plan to make Fayetteville in 2024

Kentucky: Tennessee (105), Vandy (88), Georgia (75)

LSU: Mississippi State (112), Ole Miss (105), Tulane (90)

Mississippi State: Ole Miss (115), LSU (112), Alabama (102)

Missouri: Kansas (110), Iowa State (103), Kansas State (97)

Ole Miss: Mississippi State (114), LSU (105), Vandy (92)

I don't really care who LSU gets, but I think it would be a travesty is Texas A&M and Texas are not in the same pod. They should have to play every year imho.

that puts you in the minority of LSU fans

MOST LSU folks will want to keep Ole Miss & this is probably also true of aTm (likely a lower percentage will care about this vs the Ole Miss game)

here are games that will guaranteed be kept (added) in a 3 rival system (Georgia's 3 rival games are already set in stone in this system)

Alabama vs Tennessee
Alabama vs Auburn
UGA vs Auburn
UGA vs Florida
UGA vs So Carolina
Texas vs Texas A&M
LSU vs Ole Miss
Ole Miss vs MS State
Texas vs Oklahoma

Here are the games that are likely to be kept, but are maybe not "untouchable"

LSU vs Texas A&M
Tennessee vs Kentucky
Tennessee vs Vandy
Auburn vs Florida
Ole Miss vs Vandy
Arkansas vs Texas
Alabama vs MS State

the way the SEC works, with each school being treated as an "equal partner"; I am confident that every school would be given the opportunity to demand at least one "critical" game that is a "must keep"; which leads me to believe that the Kentucky vs Tennessee game is probably also a lock and maybe should be in group 1

am I missing any games here that are likely locks?

I really have zero clue about who Mizzou would consider as a "critical/must keep" rival game in conference...

I was wondering what it would look like if you had teams play the opponents they have played the most as their rival:

They would be, in order of most games played (some schedule issues with overlap and discrepancies)...but it gives you an idea of where to start:

Tennessee: Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Alabama
Alabama: Tennessee, Mississippi State, Auburn
Auburn: Georgia, Mississippi State, Alabama
Florida: Georgia, Auburn, Tie Kentucky and LSU
Georgia: Auburn, Florida, Kentucky
Kentucky: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Georgia
LSU: Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Bama
Oklahoma: Texas, aTm, LSU
Ole Miss: Mississippi St., LSU, Vandy
Miss St.: Ole Miss, LSU, Bama
Missouri: Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M
USCe: Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky
Texas: aTm, Oklahoma, LSU
aTm: Texas, Oklahoma, LSU
Vandy: Tennessee, Kentcky, Ole Miss
