Plus he'd have to live in that cesspool know as Baton Rouge.

As opposed to College Station?

College station is awful. I don’t think BR is nice by any means but their is nothing special about College Station. You should be thankful for Lubbock

Leaving TCU for A&M honestly makes no sense to me unless they throw absurd money at him.

But Texas A&M-CC makes more sense!

It is the most boring town I’ve ever stepped foot in.

College Station is not a cesspool.
Far from it.
It’s a clean, safe community.
Basically a dense suburb.

While BR is a cesspool. Only saving grace is the food - everything else is somewhere between forgettable and terrible.

Having seen your picture on this site, it's clear that dental care is subpar in Texas.
I think he's just upset that somebody used a photo of people that weren't white for the Texas depiction. We all know he's a white supremacist that gets easily triggered when anything of the sort on that topic is brought up

Lived there for 3 yrs after Fayetteville. Awful. Good food. Dating was laborious unless my cult deprogrammer was available to attend.

If the UT AD and boosters pony up the upgrades and cash to make it an even playing field, big if, I wouldn't consider moving to either city over Knoxville. He's already proven he can win big with less. Give him what he wants and he can build a long term powerhouse. I think it really all boils down to how committed UT is to winning long term.

Knoxville has quietly built itself into one of the better mid sized cities in the region and is head and shoulders better than both Baton Rouge or College Station. Certainly one of the best cities in the conference after what they've done over the last decade.

Best college town in the east other than Athens that I’ve visited, did think that was overrated though. Pretty badass road trip when I was at Ole Miss and campus was fun inebriated. Flew into Knox last fall and it was pretty nice driving through as an “adult”. Didn’t seem like a bad place to settle down.

Knoxville is the most underrated city in the southeast.

From what has been posted about Vitello by our insiders on an obscure VOLS board, he is way more concerned with stadium upgrades than he is just salary at this point.

To paraphrase: “He believes if they do what he wants with the program from a nuts and bolts standpoint (facilities and some adjustments to aid) he will be making whatever he wants over the next 5-10 years with how much they will win.”
