A&M's next coach: Schlossnagle or Vitello

On the radio this morning.
"Attention should turn to Jim Schlossnagle and Tony Vitello. Schlossnagle's success at TCU has been well documented. Hiring Vitello would be like hiring a Lincoln Riley-type at Oklahoma. He's hard-nosed and very energetic. I would not expect the coaching search to get past those two names. I would be shocked if it weren't one of those two."

Please let it be Vitello. So I can laugh at Serraneaux.

You guys are going to have to wait and see who LSU wants to take first

I really really hope he's right because I wasn't expecting either 2-3 weeks ago, but now my hopes are sky high.

Yes, but he's probably the #1 guy covering college baseball. He's also shown a history of not showing bias towards A&M. Towards the state of Texas and the SE in general? Sure.

Yes.
But he’s pretty objective, nonetheless.

There were rumors yesterday that Vitello has already turned down A&M offer and has a $1.5/mill offer/extension from Tenn

Vitello will not be coaching at A&M in any capacity other than as the HC of the visiting team.

He also said that Texas would go after O'Sullivan and then he stayed at Florida and won a title the very next season. So if anything, this is really good news for either TCU or Tennessee for the 2022 season

He’s an amazing coach, no doubt.
Most analyses I’ve read say the powers that be want Texas HS/travel ball ties.
He lacks that variable.

Yall did go after him?
Tadlock too.
Tadlock just got a 7 year deal the renews yearly when Tech was worried we'd take him away.

He’s arguably the biggest Arkansas homer on Twitter when it comes to baseball.

He was an assistant at TCU and Arky recruiting Texas. What the hell more do you want?

Umm, ask EKG and the PTB. They're apparently not getting the connection.

Look at the Mizzou roster composition once Tony was recruiting for them. Spike in Tx guys.

Yeah I was thinking maybe he has some inside info since he is an Ag. Should be interesting and I expect some coaches to get some raises.

For sure. Either raises or being hired away with A&M and Lsu on the search. More details on the Tadlock contract came out. Apparently, it's a 6 or 7-year deal worth 7 or 8 M. The fun part is that it renews every year. They were not joking when they called it a lifetime contract.

I stand corrected.
Thanks for setting me straight!
