I don’t know about y’all’s Catholic Church, but mine allows me to dictate what my charitable donations go to. We are given an envelope and can choose which initiative the contribution goes to. I contribute mostly to the needy and less fortunate in our area directly as opposed to the general coffers. I’m sure my church is not unique in this.
