And I would bet that it is exactly why we now have a 12 team bracket instead of an 8 team bracket. AKA: The Irish TV audience.

Just read that ND is starting 2 true freshman and 3 sophomores on the O-line Saturday. No way A&M can lose with that inexperience up front for ND.

Oh 100%. It's purely to get blue bloods in who had a down year and is why any playoff of that size should have at least half if not more conference winners getting auto bids.

As it is the Big 10 and SEC are abso-fricking-lutey going to try to manipulate the schedules of teams like Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, etc to try to always make sure they are at worst 3 loss teams.

i think we handle atm. our biggest risk of losing this year is taking a team lightly. if fsu or usc are having down years, which looks like a good probability, we could lose one or both of those.

i don't think it'll happen, but it wouldn't surprise me if we beat atm by 14+ points.

Notre Dame is better than they were under Kelly.

I doubt it, but anything is possible. First game of the season, on the road, lots of unknowns. I expect it to be close.

ND has a fantastic coaching staff and roster. Will have a great season. A loss in the opener isn’t an indictment on the season.

That goes for A&M also.

It's supposed to be 90 degrees and rainy. Sounds like fun.

If it was sunny, I would guarantee an A&M win. I think this one is a toss-up.

Sounds like scattered showers are expected all week. Today in Houston there was an hour of rain midday, but that’s it so far.

So it’s tough to tell if it will actually be raining during the game.

I'd like A&M and Texas to be undefeated when they play, and I hate having to pretend that ND matters, so I'd like to see the aggies win this. So, of course, that means that Duke QB is going to go berserk and ruin my plans.

If we get a rain shower early Saturday, and then the sun comes out…it will be flat arse miserable…93 degrees or so…maybe 70-80% humidity.

Notre Dame's secondary and leonard's legs should be the difference.

Coming off a 5-7 season, this was a very exciting time for the horns. This became one of the many times over the last decade that the famous phrase was uttered:

TEXAS IS BACK!

Aggy has never been "there" so why would anyone say they were "back?" You're worrying over nothing.
