That's a lot of money for a guy that hasn't even sniffed an SECCG yet.

College ADs are such morons with these contracts and buyouts.

Not sure the purpose, only Sharp can explain that. But it was likely done for optics, with regards to recruiting.

But we also know that it included provisions for salaries of asst. coaches, so that probably was a big part of it. You know how much we love Elko.

The ways aggies talk about money is so funny, same with Texas fans as well. They act like that money is theirs personally. Just cracks me up.

Why are bama fans sucking Aggie dicks? Very embarrassing.

And you act like you have anything to do with LSU other than having a TV set and a remote.

Why did they do this when he has so much time left on his contract

Are they afraid he’s going to walk so that A&M can miss the playoffs again in the next freak pandemic season that’ll happen 100 years from now?

Was there any real threat of Jimbo leaving anytime soon? Kind of an odd time for an extension/raise if he hasn’t won anything significant yet.

Let’s be honest. LSU could not afford to pay a coach that kind of money.

If I remember correctly, tamu lost its AD over a 10% raise. It also lost a bidding war over Dave Aranda. It also needed to be dragged to court to pay the measly $400,000 buyout for John Chavis.
