This makes zero sense from A&M’s perspective. Were y’all afraid someone was going to snatch Jimbo from you? Regardless of how much money you have, to make Jimbo the 2nd highest paid coach in the nation is asinine. The dude hasn’t won the west, the conference, been in the playoffs, or sniffed the natty there. I guess because y’all beat some people in a covid year and are recruiting well, that deserves a big raise and extension. Never change aggy.

Pretty damn awesome when your worst record in the last 23 years is 5-5 in an all SEC game schedule after winning the national championship and being considered by many to be best college football team of all time. Even mighty Bama had a stretch of going 33-30 over a 5 year stretch during that time. In 2019 LSU beat 7 top 10 teams, including 3 in the top 4. In A&M’s banner year of 2020, they beat 4 loss Florida at home and the rest of their schedule didn’t include a team in the top 40 or 50 teams. Then they get might North Carolina in a bowl game. Smoke and mirrors, apples and oranges.
