First, I don't care about what others think. I do think it's was great when we were winning 7 straight National Championships and wpn 14 out of 17 National Championships. Are we dominating like we were? No. But nobody is. When the B1G, ACC, or any other conference does what the SEC has done the past 20 years, I will panic.
Secondly, you are correct. Right at this time the B1G is winning the National Championships, and I hope we can get that turned around. I like it when we are the unquestioned top dogs of the college football world. But it's not like we are getting white washed.
Ole Miss was in the semi-finals in the playoffs last year. Texas was in the semi-finals in 2024. In 2023 there was only a four team playoff and the SEC had two teams represented and lost in very close games. Then the four years prior, the SEC won the National Championship.
Congrats to the B1G for winning it three years in a row, and yes, they are better at the top of their conference, but top to bottom the SEC is still stronger. I get that it is not the aim, and National championships are. Hopefully we will get it turned around, but all of the hand wringing about the SEC is a bad conference is laughable.
Here is the post (And others like it) that makes me wonder what people are thinking.

Always a lot of hype about Texas during talking season, they are a brand if anyone in CFB is. Its football season that gives Texas fits....but they got the talking season down pat.....

The SEC is no way better top to bottom than the BIG. They use to be but they aren’t today. You guys are letting preseason rankings cloud your minds. Just because a number is next to a team doesn’t mean squat. Play the games and let’s see.

Maybe not, but I’m not dumb enough to spout nonsense. The ACC has more title games appearances than the SEC recently. And I don’t think either the ACC or SEC will have a team in the Natty game this year even though Sankey will scream and yell about good y’all are.
