A lot of hype around UGA and Texas.

I think both will make the CFP. Bama has the next best chance. Ole Miss and Oklahoma have a shot. I think LSU will make it next year. I think Florida will improve a lot over the next two years. I think Auburn will continue to suck.

Vols will upset Texas in Neyland early. Calling it now.

I'm telling you. This Tennessee team this year has a different mentality and culture. Indiana's strength and conditioning coach combined with Jim Knowles have instilled a new toughness. We are going to be the most physical team in the league this year besides maybe UGA.
And for the first time in forever we are loaded at linebacker position on defense and dline is stacked and secondary will be much improved as well.

I see we've reached the "FEELS LIKE 98" part of the year.

Daman I can't wait for football season. After we run through and physically dominate a good Ga Tech team in Atlanta, the SEC will be on alert.

There is always preseason hype about Texas.
By week 6 it is, next year will be better!

Phil Steele has Texas strength of schedule at #1, ESPN has it at #3. It'll be tough to make the playoff. But I think they will.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame's schedule ranks 56th. This should be considered by the committee, but it's not.

Texas fans know. They have never been to Neyland before. Welcome to the big show.

When you start out ranked highly it’s hard to not make the playoffs. Both those teams would have to lose 3 games to be left out and even then they’d be arguing for a spot. Meanwhile other teams could have 2 losses but easily be left out because they wouldn’t have the preseason hype. Once it expands to 24 or 32 then it will all be fine.

We've got a chance this fall. Oh, sorry. I thought this was a cross country thread.

I think Florida will improve a lot over the next two years.

Georgia finished 4th in the SEC in rushing last year.
Teams that finished ahead of us rushing were Missouri, Arkansas and Texas A&M. I would say we did ok for a team that apparently does not run the ball well.

Yeah and the SEC sucked last year. Georgia's rushing offense was mediocre, one better than the year before.
Yall averaged 4.4 ypc for the season and that is average to below average.
Frazier wasnt that great of a RB either. Great pounder, nonexistent gamechanger ability.
The SEC championship the year before actually scarred me:
two shite rushing attacks
Texas 28 carries for 31 yards
Georgia 37 carries for 141 yards and 48 came on one play.
Gross.
