I’m old enough to remember everyone saying Mizzou couldn’t compete in the SEC. Sure, we haven’t been world beaters by any means. But we’ve held our own.

Maybe y’all meant basketball…

5 out of 14 isn't horrible for a team that was projected to be a perennial doormat.

I don't remember people projecting A&M as a doormat. I thought they would come in and be middle of the pack long-term. Certainly was considered above Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas, Vandy, Kentucky, SC types.

Lived in Arkansas when the move happened said I expected to have Mizzou be a middle of the road program, right where the Tigers sit.

Now you see why Arkansas rushed the field

They’ve been in a dark place and have seen the light again

The worst 10 years in Arkansas football history. John L. Smith having a nervous breakdown. Bert being too drunk to show up for recruits. Chad. Just Chad.

Put those three coaches at Alabama and the Tide fans would be rushing the field too after a win.

Eh, I dont remember that. That was more the narrative as their recruiting really started to pick up after the move.

Mizzou has held their own. For an offensive guy, I was always impressed with how Pinkle turned out solid defenses. It always seemed like Mizzou had safeties that would light folks up.
