NIL has flipped the script. SEC has become what we used to make fun of the Big 10 for being, and they’re what we used to be. They are dominating and we will win a natty once or twice a decade.

We'll eventually figure it out. It comes and goes in cycles. But damn the cycle from 2006 to 2022 was a fricking long one.

Saban effect. People forget there was some lean years in the sec during the teens that saban covered up for.

People forget that up to the Florida/Alabama/LSU domination, national championships bounced around a lot between conferences.

As stated, 2006 was the start of an absurd run. It was unheard of before.

Because Texas choked on applesauce in 2023 with fumbleitis which caused Soyjak Sark to abandon the run even though we were averaging 6.4 YPC against Washington and once again in 2024 by idiotic defensive play calling at the end of the first half and horrific playcalling from 1st and goal from the one against Ohio State.

I feel like Texas was well suited to beat Michigan in 2023 and Notre Dame in 2024 if they just don't shoot themselves in the feet in the quarterfinals.

No Alabama or Georgia winning. The rest of you bloodsuckers have not done sh-t.

Looking at you Florida, Tennessee, Texas, OU, LSU, A&M, Ole Miss violin:

When you gonna step it up? Quit riding our coattails

Most SEC teams still follow the Saban model of building a team through recruiting and filling in the gaps with transfers. That ties up a lot of NIL funds on younger players that aren't ready to contribute. It's pretty telling that OM, Mizzou and Vandy have had relatively high points in their programs by not following that model.

$ankey has created a death spiral with his addition of extra highly physical teams and his new nine game conference schedule.

Teams in the B1G play cupcakes within their own conference while we play physical games every week. The wear and tear diminishes our durability and depth.

We simply don't have a level playing field anymore. $ankey bent over for ESPN and the Mouse is now fudge packing us at will.

DeBoer was a poor replacement for Saban.
Heupel is a fraud.
Florida can't stop stepping on it's testicles.
Auburn has become a basketball school.
OU and UT have been all sizzle and no steak (except for Bevo's future)
LSU hired a fat, lazy bastard who built his reputation on beating service academies and weak ACC competition.
Kirby Smart can't build the depth he once had because of the portal and refuses to modernize his offense.
Mizzou is cream of wheat.
Vandy is a one hit wonder.
aTm is just weird and eventually descends to their Texas 8&4 reality
As always Moo U, USCe are cellar dwellers.
Ole Miss are soon to be runts again
Arkansas has fallen into the abyss.

Only sec teams to win a game in the cfp this year were against other sec teams. We all sucked this year. Maybe ole miss sucked a little less.

We will probably never see another string of success like we did…

2003- LSU
2004- (Auburn robbed at a chance)
2005-
2006- Florida
2007- LSU
2008- Florida
2009- Alabama
2010- Auburn
2011- Alabama (LSU runner-up)
2012- Alabama
2013- (Auburn runner-up)
2014-
2015- Alabama
2016- (Alabama runner-up)
2017- Alabama (Georgia runner-up)
2018- (Alabama runner-up)
2019- LSU
2020- Alabama
2021- Georgia
2022- Georgia

14 National Champions in a 20-year period… along with 5 additional teams to play for it.

Since then…. Nothing.

2023-
2024-
2025-

Adding two schools that are top 8 NFL feeders increased the overall talent a substantial amount. This conference is even more physical than before just NFL size and speed wise. There’s no northwestern or Rutgers with D2 size and speed to coast through.
