Something tells me that's not updated considering everyone has 85 players on the list

(And we definitely dont have 85 scholarship players)

Two score victory...at least.

Got my tickets confirmed yesterday for the first Hog win of the Pittman era.

I heard Kirby is viewing this as a chance to play some guys who normally wouldn’t and let some of the new guys have a chance to shine. Similar to games against the Sunbelt really.

I’m expecting 300 or more rushing and to see at least 3 different QBs throw TDs.

Looks like it was lazily updated. No Chase for LSU, but they still have Farrell Jr and Shelvin.

This lists no three stars for Alabama. That is false. There are at least 5 of them on the roster.

South Carolina and A&M are the biggest underachievers.

No surprise there.

These things have always been dumb. Freshman are counted equally with Juniors/Seniors.

Eric Stokes is probably our best corner but is only counted for a 3-star .8578. Meanwhile, Kelee Ringo, a tFR, will miss 90% of the season but is our 2nd best player according to this.

I mean do you really not get it? Theyre basing it off players ratings coming out of high school. They arent going and re ranking every single player on every division 1 roster based off how they've performed. They arent saying Stoke sucks or Ringo is the 2nd best player on your team.

UK at 30. Figured we’d be somewhere in that range. Most of our recruiting classes of late have ranked in the 20’s or low 30’s.

Yeah I think the source data that is being aggregated is bad. They need to clean up the source data and then re-run the aggregate to get real numbers...I think there are several teams with numbers off.

It's a fun metric to compare overall talent level and recruiting prowess, but it doesn't predict outcomes all that well due to highly rated players that don't pan out, injuries, or glaring weaknesses in single position groups/matchups.

I get the point of the ranking. I know it's recruiting only. I am saying the posting of it on here as something remotely noteworthy and the subsequent bickering about it is dumb. It's a flawed system and if it's being used in anyway to determine how talented a team is, which going by their title of the ranking, seems like exactly what 247 is trying to do, it's frustratingly incomplete.

3. Ohio St.- 76
4. LSU- 64
5. Oklahoma- 62
6. Texas- 60
6. Penn St.- 60
8. Auburn- 59
9. Clemson- 56
10. Texas A&M- 54
11. Michigan- 51
12. Washington- 49
13. Florida St.- 48
13. Tennessee- 48
15. Notre Dame- 48
16. USC- 46
17. Florida- 45
18. Miami- 44

Well looking at the top couple composite teams roster wise and comparing it to their on the field success i would say is not that flawed of a system. Does every 5 star become a pro bowler and every 3 star struggle to ever make it anywhere beyond possibly starting as a redshirt senior? Ofcourse not but i would say a top 5 composite of Bama, UGA, LSU, Ohio state and Clemson seem pretty on par with success. I could see your argument on Texas maybe.
