-Liberty Bowl: Iowa St. vs. Kentucky
-Belk Bowl: Virginia Tech vs. Mississippi St.
This Orange Bowl wouldn't even be worth watching. Bama would be playing cheerleaders and walk-ons by halftime.
Penn State would probably do bad things to TAMU.
UTk and Indiana is intriguing. . .as is Barn vs Minny
UGA v Okie would be appointment television, for real.
-Belk Bowl: Virginia Tech vs. Mississippi St.
quote:
Citrus Bowl
When: Jan. 1, 2020
Where: Camping World Stadium, Orlando, FL
Projected matchup: Auburn vs. Minnesota
Quick bite: Could Auburn sneak into the New Year's Six after the Iron Bowl win? It's possible, but unlikely considering the Tigers have three losses. If Gus Malzahn's team falls out of the New Year's Six, the Citrus will gladly take them in Orlando against 10-win Minnesota, whose regular season ended in disappointing at home vs. Wisconsin on Saturday.

Outback Bowl
When: Jan. 1, 2020
Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida
Projected matchup: Penn State vs. Texas A&M
Quick bite: We're hearing Texas A&M will play in either the Outback or Texas Bowl since the Aggies went to Jacksonville (Gator Bowl) last season. If Penn State doesn't play in the Rose Bowl as the Big Ten's second highest-ranked team, the Nittany Lions will play in Tampa unless Orlando wants them for a second consecutive year. There's still some things to be sorted out in the Big Ten ahead of next week's league title game.

Gator Bowl
When: Jan. 2, 2020
Where: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida
Projected matchup: Tennessee vs. Indiana
Quick bite: A month ago, sources told us the Gators wanted the Vols if they ended the season 7-5 — well, here we are. Tennessee could play in Nashville (Music City) or in the Liberty Bowl as well. It'll be interesting to see who lobbies for Jeremy Pruitt's red-hot team in the coming days. The Vols will travel well.

Orange Bowl
When: Dec. 30, 2019
Where: Hard Rock Stadium; Miami Gardens, Fla.
Projected matchup: Virginia vs. Alabama
Quick bite: We're projecting Virginia to be the highest-ranked ACC team when the dust settles next week in Charlotte following the league title game. The Cavaliers won't beat Clemson, but a respectable loss should be enough to keep Virginia inside the Top 25 or, at worst, keep the selection committee close by. Alabama slides to the Orange this week from the Sugar in an at-large scenario following Saturday's loss at Auburn.
quote:
Sugar Bowl
When: Jan. 1, 2020
Where: Mercedes-Benz Superdome; New Orleans, La.
Projected matchup: Georgia vs. Oklahoma
Quick bite: There's a scenario in which Oklahoma doesn't win the Big 12 and finishes at No. 5, behind Utah for the coveted No. 4 spot in the final four. That would put the Sooners in the Sugar Bowl, likely against SEC runner-up Georgia. Alabama could also be in this spot for the SEC if the Bulldogs are caged by LSU in a big way. How many Georgia fans would make another trip to New Orleans for this game?
quote:
Cotton Bowl
When: Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019
Where: AT&T Stadium; Arlington, Texas
Projected matchup: Memphis vs. Florida
Quick bite: Will Florida finish higher than Penn State, another 10-2 team, in the final rankings from the selection committee? We'll have a better idea on Tuesday, but for now, we're projecting three four teams in the New Year's Six with the Gators being the 'last team in' so to speak. If Memphis beats Cincinnati in next week's AAC Championship Game, a rematch of Friday's game, the Tigers are in the Cotton Bowl.

Playoffs:
Projected matchup: No. 1 LSU vs. No. 4 Utah
Projected matchup: No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Clemson

At least Alabama would get to beat a team wearing blue and orange.

There's no guarantee of that even. Alabama doesn't do good in this type of situation. See 2008 Utah and 2013 Oklahoma. + players will probably be sitting out with a bad defense against a dual threat qb.

Don't be so certain of an Alabama victory. They will probably feel this bowl game and opposing team are beneath them. It's happened before, anyone remember Utah in the Sugar Bowl I believe.

That Utah team was actually a very talented and senior heavy team. Plus we had to sit half the OL if memory serves correctly.

You literally had to jinx this shite when they have Utah staring LSU in the face?
C’mon, bro!

Please let this one happen. Jacksonville/St. Augustine works for me.
450 mile drive. We will stay at NAS Jacksonville. Spend News Years Eve in Jacksonville. Day after the game will be spent in St. Augustine. Drive home on Friday or Saturday.

id rather have two storied programs in one bowl.
Replace two teams.
Alabama vs Penn State
Florida vs ND
Then put Tex AM vs Virginia as the third tier bowl.

There won't be 30,000 people there. It'll look like a Miami home game

It is beneath us - no playoffs no care.

There is zero justification to put Alabama in a NY6 bowl. Penn St has a much better resume.
The only NY6 Bowl I wanna see Alabama in is the Orange bowl vs Florida, so we can finally see what happens when Alabama has to play an SEC East team with a pulse.

We've already played the current #1, #3, #4, #8, and #11 teams. Do we really need to play #12 too?

As long as we do not play Wiskie, then I am good.

Three years after Saban leaves you'll be begging for an invite to the Weedeater Bowl.
