If you assume there are the Big 6 teams at the top (which will become big 8 including Texas/Oklahoma), it's imbalanced among those teams -- 4 of those teams play 2 top 8 teams (Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma), and 4 play 1 (LSU, Tennessee, Florida, Texas).
To easily balance, you could have Tennessee play Florida every year and have LSU play Texas for example. The downside is that LSU is playing Texas and Oklahoma each year because they have been left out of the historic Big 6 matchups.

Arkansas getting to play Texas, Texas a&m, Oklahoma, Georgia, alabama, auburn and Tennessee all in the same year, seems legit.

I was thinking the same thing, both Georgia and Alabama plus the others? that figures.
No playoff invites for us. Or bowls either….

I say go with a 10 game conference schedule, with one nonconference game against a power 5 team and the other game you schedule who you want.

Yea, Arky got roughed up there. But the next year will be a cake walk!

Well we’re boned. Vanderbilt is going to extend the series against us.

Then keep LSU/Florida and put the UTs together.

Oklahoma and Missouri played each other much more in the past. Arkansas and Oklahoma avoided each other for some reason.

Arkansas would average two wins a year with that schedule.

That Georgia schedule would be worth buying season tickets. Our home schedule next year is abysmal.

Everyone said that this offseason before we got the biggest game in Sanford Stadium history (about 90 years).

Yep, that would work also.

I would think Tennessee would want Kentucky in place of South Carolina. That is a very strong rivalry (and almost as old as the Vandy rivalry).

I'm fine with AU playing the rest of the big 6 - bama/uga/uf/lsu/tenn plus OU, but we don't want any part of Vandy regaining the series lead on us.

To hell with that OU crap, LSU wants Florida every year so we can beat their asses every, single, year...

No permanents. Let everyone rotate!

F the 9 game schedule, just do 10 or 11 and lets battle it out
Posted on 12/1/22 at 4:42 pm to SummerOfGeorge
My only issue is that it's 9 games instead of 8. They really need to add higher quality OOC games rather than more in conference games.

I'm fine with that, but I really don't think that will happen. Many people would not be fine with it.
