Could honestly care less who our permanents are in the SEC. I wouldn't mind Kentucky. As long as we get Clemson every year, that's all I'd care about.

Believe it or not, given our H2H history with both, I'd be upset if Clemson and UGA didn't appear on our schedule every year. SC-UGA have met more times than many SEC rivalries/match-ups, regardless of conference alignment.

If Texas/Oklahoma enter the league in 2024 (which seems to be what many think as it will coincide with the new playoff setup)

heard someone on radio talking about this earlier this weeek.
said there is very little chance the move happens early because of the expense of it.

unless they can negotiate the amounts down (which the Big XII has no reason to agree to), this isn't happening before 2025.

$80 million exit fee (per school)
plus forfeiture of all media revenue during the interim (so the 2023 season basically). which is another $45 million or so per school.

So somewhere around $130 million each to leave early...probably not happening.

If everyone can agree on their perms using this format below, I think it works really well and it is fair for all teams.

It doesn’t currently work for the perms that you have picked for everyone, but a few small changes to your perms would work.

As shown above, Alabama’s works with the way it is currently setup.

With this format.. every year, you play a team

from Alabama
from Texas
from Mississippi
from Tennessee
from Arkansas or Missouri
from Louisiana or Oklahoma
from Florida or Georgia
from South Carolina or Kentucky

That helps with recruiting for everyone imo.

Overall I like it a lot if the perm’s can be agreed upon. As an example; these perms work.

AL - AU, TN, MS
AU - AL, GA, OM
FL - GA, LSU, KY
GA - FL, AU, SC
TX - OU, AR, A&M
OU - TX, MO, TN
LSU - A&M, FL, AR
A&M - LSU, MS, TX
AR - MO, TX, LSU
MO - AR, OU, V
OM - MS, SC, AU
MS - OM, A&M, AL
TN - V, AL, OU
V - TN, KY, MO
SC - KY, OM, GA
KY - SC, V, FL

A better way to word the perm’s is this:
1) Across
2) 1 from same side
3) 1 from opposite side

This is too long. Hopefully it all makes sense. It’s pretty simple to keep track of it once you understand it.

Things get tougher for the SEC... meanwhile in the Big 10, Ohio State cruises past cupcakes like Northwestern, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, etc. while we damn near kill ourselves.

frick having to go to Norman every year. Away games are so much fun and you can’t expect students to make that trip. Gainesville is a tough trip but norman is even further.

I mean it's 10 miles difference...

Everyone said that this offseason before we got the biggest game in Sanford Stadium history (about 90 years).

I know right. All 1 of them. Think you just made my point with the 90 years comment.

2024 SEC 9 Game Schedule (3 perms/6 rotationals) with no divisions by remaster916
I say go with a 10 game conference schedule, with one nonconference game against a power 5 team and the other game you schedule who you want.

NO because you get to choose who your opponents are. Ga./Fl./SC/Ky. don't have that luxury.

Hard to believe the SEC would give up Florida/Tennessee every year.

Ga./Fl./SC/Ky. would instantly vote down over 9 games.
