If Texas/Oklahoma enter the league in 2024 (which seems to be what many think as it will coincide with the new playoff setup), how would you be with this as a schedule for year 1 knowing you'd play everyone in the league over a 2 year period?

Perms in italics

Thank you for fixing.

frick having to go to Norman every year. Away games are so much fun and you can’t expect students to make that trip. Gainesville is a tough trip but norman is even further. It’s a bigger issue with the expansion of the conference and if you’re going to invite these other teams to join you need to integrate them fully with the existing teams but the permanent games should be schools that students can realistically drive to.

I thought South Carolina was supposed to be our 3rd permanent?

Edit: I don’t care either way. I wanna keep running up Ken13cky

Ours would more likely be UGA than TN. Otherwise I'm fine with it as long as we aren't permanently paired with the Texas, Oklahoma, Mizzou or Arkansas schools. We've been stuck with the farthest away team for a permanent opponent since joining. In 1992 it made sense, not so much anymore.

Why not renew the Ark vs OU rivalry?

That's very possible - there are a few random 3rds on there (Ole Miss/Florida, Mizzou/Miss St) where I couldn't remember what the rumored 3rd was.

It's a natural seeming rivalry but it's never been a rivalry. They've only played 15 times total and only 3 times since 1927. Oklahoma/Missouri is an old game from the Big 8.

As long as we get Florida in JAX, barn, and GT, I don't really give a damn about the rest of the details.

Swap state for Ark and I’m good.

No thanks. We want Vandy, Mizzou, and A&M as perms

This is definitely gonna be so much better.

Instead of waiting 10 years for Bama to come to Athens or vice versa, we will play basically every other year.

LSU vs OU strikes legitimately zero interest in me

If we can't go back to the old school SEC games every year the next best case is to play them every other year (Bama/UGA, UF/Auburn, Auburn/VOLS).

UGA's permanents will be UF/AU/SC.

Could honestly care less who our permanents are in the SEC. I wouldn't mind Kentucky. As long as we get Clemson every year, that's all I'd care about.

The extra nonconference game is more important to me than the extra conference opponent and rotation.

I like the idea of scrapping these huge divisions.

But 4 nonconference opponents allows so much more creativity in non-conf scheduling.

Do we have to get Alabama as a permanent?
