this virus is a fraud...the 2020 football season has been a fraud...therefore, the 2020 national champion will be a fraud.
2020 will not be worth bragging about

The virus is not a fraud. Every team this year knew the risks/rewards. Sure,it will be a little unorthodox, but the champ will be the champ.

Nah.
If Alabama runs through a 10 game SEC schedule, beats a Top 5 Florida in the SEC title game, beats Clemson then Ohio State you think not playing Louisiana-Monroe and Middle Tennessee State will make the title less meaningful?
Okay.

LOL at 2020 Bama/Ohio State/Clemson being worse than two-loss 2007 LSU or 1984 BYU.

Having the Worst National Champion Ever>Not winning a National Championship since 1980

OK, let me ask this question?
What teams would make the playoffs if the Chinese virus was not around?
Alabama?
Clemson? ?Notre Dame?
Ohio State?
Well there is 3 of the 4 that will make it

The 2020 National Champion will be Asterisk.

Having an asterisk Champion makes me feel bad for Clemson.
Nobody cares about their *championship to-come.

1980 was worse
True stat: Georgia completed one pass for 11 yards in their Sugar Bowl/National Championship win over Notre Dame. But yeah, this year's national champion will be worse than that Georgia team because of CoVid.

Crazy the game hasn’t evolved at all since 1980. Truly insane.

I think you can look at it like that but you could also look at it as the team that won it all despite the adversity of the entire season with covid etc. It shouldn’t be a big shock that the team is Bama and the coach is Saban, the frickers.

Why didnt you throw in the two teams that couldn't even win their own division

Because those two teams were better than 2007 LSU and 1984 BYU?

The virus is real. The 2020 season is compromised but better than having no season.

No. I saw LSU beat Alabama in 2007 and 2011.

The 2011 Alabama team would have annihilated the 2007 LSU team.
The 2017 Alabama team would have beaten 2007 LSU by 10.
