Tank Bigsby is the obvious answer for Auburn, but a couple that could get some playing time and be solid contributors this season besides him:
Chris Thompson Jr - Safety
Brandon Frazier - TE (please god let us finally use one)
Tank is probably the closest thing to a "can't miss" prospect that AU has signed since Derrick Brown, IMO.
I'm also really excited to see what Kobe Hudson, Capers, and Cannion can do at WR. Capers and Cannion are tall physical specimens we haven't had at WR very often at AU. Hudson is just a crazy athlete at 6'1" so not as big, but certainly more athletic than the other two. I'm just not sure how much PT they will get as freshmen. Gus isn't exactly known for trusting young guys on offense.
On D I'm pumped to see Jay Hardy. His film is pretty incredible. He is on a different level in terms of size, strength, and speed in regards to the competition he faced on his high school tape. He could be a really good one. He and Zy Walker have potential to be a great tandem during their time on the Plains.
Who knows though, we've all seen guys bust out of high school. Then you have the unheralded kid that comes out of nowhere to be a great college player. It's one of the things that makes college ball what it is.

Gilbert and Stingley could both be in NYC

Yea the receiver you listed i'm really excited about, i'm just not sure how much impact they will have this season. Same with the guys on D. Hardy probably has the best chance with our DT depth, but otherwise i'm not sure they will get a ton of snaps.
Thompson has been getting a ton of praise and may end up being the backup safety for his position and I think Frazier becomes the starter before the season is over.

Also a lot of kids with foreseeable sports talent are held back a year in youth to give an extra year of development. Pretty common practice
I agree that it’s a common practice, and in rare situations it appears to pay off. That said, it’s always kind of funny to hear someone was held back for sports and they end up being like a mediocre high school baseball player. You wasted a year of income/career progress.

Jermaine Burton, Van Pran, and Jalen Carter will likely be All Sec freshmen.

Van Pran and Carter are going to have to fight guys ahead of them for playing time.
The way we rotate DL, I can see Carter getting enough action to get all freshman. But unless there is an injury to our starters, I dont see Van Pran beating out other freshmen starters in the conference for the award. Sometimes, the better player doesnt get the award because they arent a starter on their own team.

indeed. His reasoning of why he stuck with mizzou made me a big fan. Could have easily switched to bama.

For UGA-
With the injury to the grad transfer at TE: Darnell Washington
And one of the freshman WRs (Rosemy/Smith/Burton/Robinson)

From someone @ every LSU practice and also quoting a pretty descent CB named Stingley, “ Arik Gilbert is F——ing impossible to stop” . He really is though, a coach I know says he is even better than they expected, Pellini told him no team will stop him unless they have to use way to many assets, we shall see, but barring injury- he is truly a generational athlete according to many people.
