No love loss for Auburn here but what’s the joke? There’s good money to be made in agribusiness.

My boss in the Air Force was a Ohio State fan so I did my best to completely block out any of their BS. I guess I missed this in the process, but I'm up to speed now.
If you're a CFB fan you would have seen this
And even here...

Considering State pumps out quality engineers and vets I'm guessing most of them are living comfortably and quite happy with their degree.
Of course there are both high and low salary individuals that graduate from every school.... but its not like State is known for producing high salaries.
According to Payscale.com's listing of Average Mid-Career Salaries for Alumni with Bachelor Degrees, here is how the Power 5 schools rank, 1-65

Discuss.
IDK dude. All I know is its easier to get into Auburn than Alabama so I would question the methodology

Probably, but in the last 10 to 20 years when I am on campus it sure feels I am in the minority.
It was interesting to see they had the lowest white population tho at just around 50%. Not exactly in line with actual US demographics.

Living in the state of Alabama, I can attest that this is absolutely not true. I have many friends who are Auburn grads that had to send their children to Alabama because their kids were not accepted at Auburn.
Never once have I ever heard of a kid being accepted at Auburn and not at Alabama.

Does this take into account cost of living or is it just totalled, ie I went to X school, I make Y dollars? Stanford is in a very wealthy area with lots of opportunity, but cost of living there is super-high. If all these Stanford people work in Silicon Valley, they have huge salaries but huge bills too.
Granted, many students take jobs in other areas of the country, but it seems like this means nothing. A quick cost of living comparisons says that in Palo Alto CA, $143,100 is about $26,000 in Nashville, TN. That Vandy grad who sticks around Nashville is getting way more for his/her $118k.
State doesn't have to produce high salaries when it costs peanuts to live there. I would be more interested to see average salary weighted by cost of living where the graduate ended up settling/working.

Its not true but be prepared for him to use the acceptance rate as his proof.

Because it doesn't happen. Bama turns more people away than Auburn because they get so many applicants that barely graduated high school and are likely headed to some trade school (not that there's anything wrong with trade schools).

do many of them do that?
for our school I'd say the majority stay in state.
And at the most move the Charlotte, which is on the border.

As a Knoxville native, most of the friends I had that went to Vandy ended up working in Nashville, coming back to Knoxville or working out in Oak Ridge and living here. I actually don't know the statistics but I think taking location of jobs into account would make this list more useful.
If all Vandy students make mid-career $118k in Nashville while Stanford students make $143k in San Jose, those Vandy students are making 2x the money when adjusted for cost of living. I just feel like that's incredibly relevant to this type of list and I am curious if that's part of the original data Kyle presented.

Do you think that they do though?

I wouldn't think Stanford students would live in San Jose.
But I get it.
Vandy just doesn't seem to me like the school that people stay in the state for.
based on this it says 13% are from TN
LINK
The rest out of state.
So maybe I'm right there?

I was in Korea in 2012-2013, so I missed a lot of CFB in fall 2012. Looking back at the original tweet, I was actually right in the process of moving over there when this came out. I wasn't on tRANT until much later. I dunno, I just never saw it somehow. Weird. I spent 5 out of the last 10 football seasons overseas/deployed. Now I'm wondering what else I missed thanks to Uncle Sam.

what is Bama doing besides football? We all have to be good at something, I guess.
