#12 Georgia
#2 Alabama
I dont think the OP is correct, but how many of these finished ranked?

This is a dumb thread. Auburn has two losses. Also, I don't see us beating Oklahoma or Clemson. I think we could take on any other team in the country though.

This. Those 2 teams were so dominant it was scary.
Now picture this 2017 Auburn team facing this schedule:
Kent State
Georgia Southern
Penn State
Tennessee (5-7)
Vanderbilt (6-7)
Florida (7-6)
Ole Miss (2-10)
Mississippi State (7-6)
Auburn (8-5)
Arkansas (11-2) - @ home
These are the wins that "qualified" 2011 Bama for the national championship game.
2017 murders that schedule. Murders it.
Put 2011 LSU in Jordan-Hare Stadium and they're getting they're asses kicked too.

No. When they met in Nov 2011, the world almost exploded.
Yes it did. Because of the atrociously bad QB play on display from both teams.
Yikes.
I mean, a team with Jordan Jefferson at QB that lived off of Tyran Mathieu making plays in special teams is gonna talk shite? Really?

I dont remember seeing a team this strong with no weaknesses
Were you still in middle school for Bama's 2012 season?
I'd say the 2014 Ohio St. teams was pretty strong also.
Clemson 2016 wasn't a slouch either.

You sound like you're still in high school and have only been watching CFB for about a year.

I think Bama 2016 would beat this Auburn 2017 team by double digits
Posted on 11/28/17 at 10:55 am to 3morereps
2011 LSU, 2011 Alabama, 2010 Auburn, 2004 Auburn
All better teams. This team is hot right now, but I still think any of those teams beat 2017 Auburn.

SEC is terrible this year.
3 teams in the top 6 and 6 ranked teams is terrible?
"The SEC is down" has been the cry from National Pundits, Auburn fans and every other SEC team all year long. Now that Auburn's in driver seat, all of a sudden the SEC is a juggernaut again?

2011 LSU beat the National Champion, The PAC 12 Champion and the Big East Champion as well as #4 Arkansas that year.
2011 Alabama beat the SEC Champion and might have had the second best defense ever that year.
Those were two very special teams. Not to take away from the great season Auburn has had, but I don't see this Auburn team as good as the 2010 team with Newton and Fairley

That was probably before Auburn decided it wanted to start annihilating the rest of the conference.

I'm very impressed LSU was able to find 3-4 very quality wins that year, despite historically terrible QB play.
Thank God for Tyrann Mathieu's special teams ability.

Our 2010 squad is certainly the GOAT because of having the most dominant offensive SEC player in history, followed closely by 2004 Auburn, but this team is finding it own and has become a very complete, very dangerous monster.
We'll revisit this after Saturday, when Auburn faces yet another great opponent.

Beating two number 1 teams by double digits in two weeks is an unheard of accomplishment
It happened in 2009, so it's not "unheard of" - and the team that did it finished undefeated. Per your logic, Alabama's 2009 squad is the best team in SEC history.
