Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockley, and Jonathon Vilma to add to your list. Are you fricking kidding me? 2001 Miami is hands down the baddest team ever.

LSU. 15-0 is the best season, resume, and awarded team in CFB history.

Nah, just kidding

It would actually be
Nebraska 95
LSU -19

They cap Nebraska’s points at 95 to keep them from hitting triple digits. And they give LSU negative points whenever Nebraska scores.

Otherwise, the final would be

Nebraska 114
LSU 0

2019 LSU wins by 21 against both those teams.

Everyone talking about if Nebraska could run on LSU. I'm sure they could have some success. But Joe Big Dick Burrow throws for 400 or 500 yards against them.

No college defense that has ever taken the field would stop that offense. To stop it you would have to have the best Tampa Two zone ever played, the Ravens with Ray Lewis that year they won the Super Bowl.

Are you mental?

You think the triple option would be too much to handle? Today’s athletes are bigger, stronger, faster then they were 25 years ago. We’d beat the brakes off Nebraska.

And obviously you’re a lil butthurt about something .... the national media is talking about us being the best ever, not just our fan base. Look at the facts dude, we steamrolled motherfuvkers. Err LSU steamrolled other teams. I watched from
Stands.

You’re acting like a lil girl.

2019 would destroy 1995 Nebraska.

The 2001 Miami team was one of the most talented in history by the number of first round and NFL talent over but I'd still take the LSU offense over any defense in CFB history.

Your first mistake is the fact that you believe that 1995 Nebraska ran the triple option. They were a power run team that sometimes ran the option out of the I-Formation.

I think most people realize this. You judge a team by how they performed against their contemporaries. 1995 Nebraska annihilated the competition like no other team in the modern era. Their level of dominance had never been seen before and hasn't been seen since.

They decimated everyone. You will never see that again. The CFB landscape has changed.
While that was the most dominant season ever it's still not the most accomplished. I think LSU will hold that distinction for some time. Defeating the preseason top 4; beating 5 teams who finished the season in the Top 10 and 7 who finished in the Top 25 is amazing. Only three games were close on the scoreboard and LSU was in command of each of those games.

There are any number of teams in the past 15 years who would beat that 95 Nebraska team but that doesn't diminish the Huskers in any way.

I use that Ole Miss game to point out what likely would happen to LSU. I concede that Nebraska would have similar problems, and I still think the game would be a shootout.

If you couldn't stop Ole Miss, there's not a chance in hell you slow down Nebraska. It's probably worse. Cut blocks... crackbacks..watch those knees.

On the other hand, they would not have seen anything like LSU. Playing by 1995 rules though, it could get ugly running those slants because the targeting rules don't protect the WR's and they can beat on them going downfield too. They can whack Joe around a lot more on the pass rush than he's used to, so there is that. The game was more physical and I'm thinking that's the approach taken.

95 Nebraska and 01 Miami were great on both sides of the ball. This LSU team was 8th in the SEC in total defense

2019 LSU with its speed on defense could match Tommie Frazier pretty good. Frazier would get yardage and scores but he would have to work hard for them.

2019 LSU offense would probably hang 45- 48 pts on them. The Nebraska D was legit

Clearly today's LSU team would beat all those teams given the overall increase in athletic ability across all of college football. But, when viewing teams in the context of "their time" then the 1995 Nebraska team is the GOAT. My opinion only.

I still contend we use the Ole Miss game as a model. Nebraska would deal LSU a fit. That speed was helpless against Plumlee. Frazier with more help? Please.

Or the fact that Nebraska played a physical style of football, yet didn't have a single offensive lineman over 300 lbs?

LOL

Did you really think you could just make something up and no one would know?

What increase in athletic ability. We're not talking the 50s here by the 90s Nebraska had a famous strength and conditioning program.
