If it’s 16 the first round should be early, like as right after CCG. Then the advancing 8 would be during bowl season.

Go back to the conferences and bowl tie in of the 80’s.

Throughout the BCS era there were only about 4-5 teams that had any kind of shot at winning. Sixteen is watered down and ridiculous. Just a money grab like everything else these days.

Isn’t funny anytime Bama fans are worried they aren’t getting in the playoffs they suddenly come up with all sorts of arguments as to why the playoffs should be changed.
They could be 3-9 and there would be Bama fans on here doing their dead level best metal gymnastics trying to convince the world why a 3-9 Bama team deserves to be in the playoffs, otherwise the whole system should be changed.
