re: Why is Russia so poor?

Your stats are from 2019-2020. You are also not taking into the cost of things in Russia. Like Tucker showed what you get in the grocery store for far less than in America. The latest data shows Russia to be ranked #4 economy by IMF in terms of PPP which is more accurate than GDP because it removes the currency disparity. Educate yourself Libtard
When we talk about crime stats everyone is well versed on per capita. When talking about Russia that knowledge is completely gone. What is Russia’s per capita PPP?
To illustrate, India is #3 on PPP index (not per capita), ahead of Russia. You ever been there? It rich?

Eh, there are many meetings where you sit there, say nothing, contribute nothing, yet you have to be there. Normally, productive people are doing other work while those meetings are taking place as they are WFH and can have another screen open at the same time.
He then goes on a tirade about tons of committees, which has nothing to do with WFH. That’s his fault yet he somehow conflates it with WFH

re: Can Doge do the unthinkable to elminate our debt? What is it…36 trillion now?

You would need to hit entitlements to make any meaningful impact. The USAID and federal workforce might hit $100b per year in savings, which is great, but the COVID expansion of entitlements added hundreds of billions. Just paring that back would be huge.
Being able to lower interest rates would save on debt servicing.
Privatizing student loans would be a good amount too. Remember that Obama claimed this as government savings to fund Obamacare, then politicians realized they could buy votes with it…
Any of the above would be huge but there would be crying in the streets via the media and even some on this site.

I’ve had the P1s for a month with 0 prior 3d printing experience. I’ve only done ~30 prints but have had no problems, it just works. I assume more elaborate prints will present problems.

Nothing, but why would that be a bad thing? It's precisely how things should be and would benefit everybody everywhere. You don't think America could compete?
How is it benefiting everyone everywhere? Are you talking about the United States, Europe, the world?
We don’t lead in every industry worldwide, and if we don’t allow in talented workers we might not lead in others.
Here’s a simple analogy that illustrates why your argument fails. Use LSU and athletes. Why doesn’t LSU just recruit from LA for all sports? Wouldn’t the LA high school athletes benefit from athletic scholarships to LSU?

On one hand it’s stupid the way you must write a 6 page resume and HR has supreme power to clear it.
On the other hand, the process is there to prevent nepotism / favoritism because you know government workers are never going to be fired for crap performance.

That very rosy scenario already happened for O&G. Oil companies have invested a ton into american universities to develop talent.
My industry is not oil and gas so I can’t speak to what they’ve done or how their industry works. My broader point remains though.

You don't think employers would force a come to jesus moment with politicians, and those politicians would start getting at least a little serious about education? It's not like you're arguing that Americans are too stupid to earn STEM degrees, right?
That’s a very rosy scenario linking multiple chains of events that at best is decades in the future. Even assuming that comes to fruition, you have the foreign STEM degrees going somewhere else. What prevents them from developing the competing product(s) to our American ones?

Wages would have to go up to compete for the limited supply of these individuals. However, offsetting this you would have less available jobs, because as you increase cost, you get less of it.

What do you think would happen if employers were persistently starved for STEM graduates and didn't have imported labor as an option?
In many cases we wouldn’t fill the position. Math based jobs are tough to fill.
The unemployment rate for STEM majors is around 3%. It’s not like there are a mass of Americans starving for these jobs.

When I post a job I prefer to hire American, however, the applicant pool is 75% foreign with the majority of those seeking sponsorship. There just aren’t enough Americans doing STEM degrees whereas it seems there’s a large supply of foreigners that have them.

Alabama should join the MAC and then they can get the auto-bid every year. Maybe even a bye like Boise! Why don’t they do it? The MAC would take Alabama in an instant.

I have lots of skepticism that this is true. It is true that ABC is on the same team as Kamala, but doubt they’d be this dumb.

Seems the vast majority of police hostility videos are of someone doing the exact opposite of what the rest of us do when confronted by police. There are so many police officers, and therefore so many bad apples, yet we don't see many videos where people being respectful are beaten by police.

It’s not because he’s old, it’s because he submits a tank top selfie photo that he took on his crap couch to the news company that is writing an article about him. That alone should be a massive red flag the size of Texas.
His “IT” roles, in this instance, were for setting up printers. Kudos for him trying to better himself, but submitting a tank top selfie means he’s not serious.
