Edit - LSU fans might think I’m trying to sleight Daniels with Nix winning the Heisman. That’s not what I mean. I mean that they will give Nix the Heisman solely to set up the narrative that Oregon was screwed in the playoff and that the 12 team playoff will be better for the sport.

All the CFP committee members and Heisman voters going to get together on a conference call and set all this up / make sure everyone is on the same page?

I continue to be amazed at how some think all these people are in on all of these big conspiracies / narratives.

honestly, seeing bama ranked as low as they are with just 1 loss (albeit lots of people were down on them early with just how they looked), i think the SEC fatigue is real. i think its why they wont get voted in, and i think its why Daniels wont win the heisman. they are aching for a west coast team to be relevant.

Bama.

Better wins, better loss, better schedule. SEC champ. The SEC has had a team win, or lose the title game for 17 consecutive years.

Bama with a win over UGA? Bama is in. They're playing better.

There are 2 ways to approach this.

Is it about who are the best teams right now?
If this is the approach, FSU with a back-up QB is not better right now than a 1-loss Oregon, Texas or Bama.

Is it about what happened on the field?
Texas beat Bama at their house by double digits.

You’re right. The media and people in power never collude to establish narratives for particular agendas.

SEC champ over Pac-12 is a given every year, expect the year the PAC gets dismantled. That is the one unknowable factor.

12-1 Oregon:

Wins over #3 Washington, #14 Arizona, and #21 Oregon State. Lone loss @ Washington

When did Oregon play Arizona lol

12-1 Alabama:

Wins over #1 Georgia, #11 Ole Miss, and #13 LSU. Lone loss to #7 Texas

Clearly better resumé given Oregon has just one regular season win against a ranked opponent

Just one minute there. If Bama wins the SEC and Oregon finishes 12-1 ,with the make up of the poeple voting Bama will be left out. No matter if they are more worthy they ain’t going.

I don't see SEC champ being left out under any circumstances
Finebaum might commit suicide if it does happen

Ducks win and avenge the loss. 0 chance they get left out but keep dreaming so you can sleep better at night.

Is that your only argument? It sounds like you are the one with trouble sleeping over it. You guys are first out with a Bama win. That's just what you get for the weak schedule.

SEC champion is in, 100%. I think FSU would get left out in this scenerio. What has FSU done, beat one ranked team?

I think so too. Oregon and Alabama would be in instead of FSU. If Travis was still playing I’d say they’d be a shoe in. The committee will have the Travis injury in their minds and find a way to explain leaving out FSU.

Bama gets in over Oregon.

the hardest scenario the committee would have to figure out is Bama v. Texas v. FSU if those 3 teams win along with Michigan and Washington.

Good question. I don't know how you penalize OSU, UGA or Bama in this situation. Oregon SOS keeps them out. Portland St and Texas Tech hurt.
