Agree or disagree…the SECCG loser moves below UGA if UGA wins out?
maybe
If it is 11-2 Texas, it’s a maybe
If it is 10-3 Bama or A&M, I think yes
Where I think it matters is that that team only made the CCG because of tiebreakers. All would start out at 10-2.
If Texas is 11-1 and loses.. they might keep them ahead if that makes sense

The B1G is a fraud again as usual. And the CFP will prove it. 4 in the Top 5? GTFOH.

wrong...if the loser of the sec champtionship game is going to be out...unless lots more teams drop a 3rd game

I wouldn’t if I thought the team UGA was playing in that environment was actually good.
While I get what you’re saying, not even UGA fans know what team is going to show up to play. Will it be the UGA that played Kentucky? Bama? Texas? Tennessee? Florida?
No way you want to go play in 10 degrees at night while Penn State is doing a whiteout.

when 2 teams have the same amount of losses...head to head is the first step in ranking them, thats why bama and ole miss are ahead of GA and why GA is ahead to TN.
If they hadnt played head to head you could then argue you have better wins or better losses or whatever you want to use to justify the ranking, but a head to head butt whipping is always going to matter most.

Too many bum arse teams crowding the top. Wtf has Penn State done?

So based on these standings, every 1st round game will be in the Midwest in mid December.
What a cluster.

What a cluster.

Vols beat Bama, so that destroys this whole line of thinking.

I think they look at how a team is currently playing. Ole Miss is rolling, Tennessee just lost. They want the best current teams in the playoff.

Depending on how the next two weeks shake out you can expect Indiana to vacate and PSU will get absolutely obliterated in the playoff. Also one of OSU and Oregon lose the championship game so what happens there?

These rankings will go through some real shuffling over the next few weeks.
Assuming Texas and Bama play each other in the SECCG, someone has to shuffle down after.
Same with OSU/Indiana this weekend. Someone moves down some. Also, the B1G Championship game, someone moves down some after.
Several teams will be forced to play each other. I suspect we end up with not all these B1G teams hosting after it all plays out.
Plus we have the coming unexpected upsets.

ESPN sucks
Can we let the inside the nba crew break down playoff rankings

SECCG loser should be viewed as the 2nd best team in the conference and the #2 SEC team should always be in the cfp. So Texas will be in.

I think way too many people are writing off A&M in our game at Kyle..
If we played every year like in the past, i’d probably feel differently, because over time, you can develop a mental edge.. and we do have the better team imo.. but that won’t matter.. not this year at least..
It will be an interesting dynamic tho.. both of our rosters are very different than in 2011.. I bet 90%+ of the Texas roster was Texas kids.. Mack loved Texas kids.. and pride in the state, etc. I don’t have the numbers, but I bet it’s 60-70% now, maybe even lower.. I feel like A&M recruits more nationally now too.. Idk the role that will play either..
Lots of unknown variables in this game..
Quick Roster Count
2011 Texas 79 OOS 6 (93%)
2024 Texas 52 OOS 33 (61%)
Maybe it won’t matter.. just interesting.. do they know the importance? Do they care or is it just another game?

Head of CFP just said they wouldn’t stop ranking due to championship games.
2 loss Texas that lost to UGA at home wouldn’t be above UGA or Ole Miss.
3 loss Bama with a loss might be last team in.

Garbage but interested in sec on the road in playoffs . Dealing with it

I see you just are pretending the Kentucky head to head doesn’t exist as a common opponent
It is still a 2 to 1 advantage for Ole Miss, quit being a bitch vaccine boy.

None of this means shite because if Texas beats A&M and Bama wins out, odds are that bama gets in.
If bama loses to Texas, they get rewarded for the extra game by being eliminated.
fricking dumb.

If that was the real bracket Georgia and OSU would cruise to the semis.
