I feel like the 2013 South Carolina team (Final #4 AP poll, 11-2) could have an argument to be there. The bad Tennessee loss could exclude this team, but some of the wins from that season include two victories over teams that won BCS bowl games:

1. @ #5 Missouri (Cotton Bowl winner)
2. @ #10 UCF (Fiesta Bowl winner)
3. #8 Clemson (Orange Bowl winner)
4. #22 Wisconsin
5. #24 Vanderbilt

2007 Missouri was a great team. Oklahoma was a great team to, but like others across the country, lost to teams they shouldn’t have lost to. If there was a game Missouri was to lose, it was Oklahoma. I was shocked at the CCG result though. It was tied at halftime and figured Mizzou was well on their way.

At seasons end, I still think they were the best team that year. 2007 will always be remembered as the year of no one wanting to be national champion.

That 2011 LSU team outscored a schedule that included #3 Oregon, #12 West Virginia, #2 alabama, #3 Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, and Auburn by a compined 500-123. Even though they scored 10 touchdowns on special teams or defense, the offense still averaged 5 TDs per game, and the defense gave up less than 10 points per game.

If we had beaten bama in the title game, or Oklahoma State as it should have been, 2011 LSU would have gone down as a top 3 team in history (until 2019 that is.)

That CCG was so heart breaking watching the second half and how we couldnt do anything on offense. OU's defense stepped up in the second half and took over.

Schmed wants to brag on his 2011 Gumps!

Open NCAA investigation on DJ FLUKER and Barron and the IGF-1 Substance abuse!

Schmed is proud of his Pros that got beat in their own house.

I’ll take an honest win Schmed. LSU won back to back in 2010 and 2011

You ride that dying Shetland poney Sabah and beat that dying dwarf for the last drop of sweat off his septuagenarian balls! Go Baw Lap it up!

Schmed proud of his Cheaters

Everyone knows what that 2011 team was!

And LSU beat you in your own house!!!

One thing ou did TWICE that year that no one else seemed to do...avoid Jmac on special teams. Thats a big difference. He was automatic.
