It was as thorough of an arse kicking that has occurred in college football in my lifetime. I don’t think LSU had 100 yards of total offense. The pining to this day that Okie State should’ve been in that game is embarrassing. They wanted a gimme and got their arse kicked instead

FACTS
1) 07 Missouri was a very good football team
2) 07 Missouri wasn’t an SEC team
3) 07 LSU was a better team despite a few boneheaded losses in OT

Bitch please. They lost to a squad that was barely bowl eligible. It was abundantly clear who the best team in the country was that year. #6 is a little harsh, but ‘04 auburn and ‘16 Bama would’ve beat ‘11 LSU like a rented mule
What a stupid opinion.

Makes sense now.

LSU fans are all alike, the barely won in Tuscaloosa and got their asses stomped in New Orleans, and yet they will proclaim to whoever is listening that they were the best team. They crossed the 50 one time and lost yardage back to their 40, what a bunch of schmucks and crybabies
Rag on LSU if you want. There's no doubt that Alabama was the more talented and complete team that season.
And Alabama couldn't beat LSU the first time they played, either. It took two times, and despite all the statistical dominance in the bowl game, it was still a 2 score game late- because while Alabama could move SOMEWHAT, they couldn't punch it in. 5 scoring drives, 15 pts. If LSU could have summoned the slightest bit of offense, that second game would have been a tossup, too.
So, objectively- those two teams were about as evenly matched as it appeared all season long. 1-1 vs each other in painful defensive struggles, total beatdowns of everyone else they faced.
So yeah, I'd say LSU deserves to be listed pretty damn high in the group of SEC teams that didn't win it all.

Both teams could've taken Miami and won the national title and both fricked up at the wrong moment.
Easy bro. While both teams could've given Miami a far superior game than Nebraska, beating those guys was gonna be a tall order. That team produced 5 1st Rd picks including 3/4 of their DB's
I think your defense holds up against em but I don't see the your offense doing much.

2016 or 2018 Bama (interchangeably) should be #1 that Florida team belongs but towards the bottom.

List is shite. Auburn won a Natty in 2004 and in 1993.

2011 LSU #6? List is shite.
Greatest regular season ever
Defeated the following ON THE ROAD:
-Rose Bowl champion
-Orange Bowl champion
-National Champion
As well as several other bowl winners

No Missouri team would ever even remotely belong on a list like this. 07 team beat no one and was soft as hell.

If there was a game Missouri was to lose, it was Oklahoma. I was shocked at the CCG result though. It was tied at halftime and figured Mizzou was well on their way.
OU was favored to win that game by about 10 even though Missouri was ranked #1. There was a reason for that.

2001 UF not being on that list is criminal.
That was Spurriers Best UF team.
Yes it was. At full strength, they were 10 points better than your 1996 team and were easily the second best team in America that year.
