Looking at total defense without adjusting for opponent and drives is not reflective of much.

FEI Defensive Rankings YTD:
OSU
Texas
PSU
Texas Tech
OU
Oregon
UGA
IA
BAMA
ND
A&M
AU
IU
UTAH

We have played OSU and nobodies so this is very misleading. Lets see who has the #1 D half way through conference play

LOL

So in one thread you say only SEC opponents are important but now we are counting all opponents. Ole Miss alone scored 24

Missouri is giving up 25.5 points per game vs P4 opponents.

LSU is giving up 14.6.

Now take off the points that were Mizzou's offense doing and not the D.

OU hasn't played an offense with a pulse yet. I think TX still has a lot to prove as well. Ohio State didn't try to do too much with the lead so that game can be misleading.

Michigan looks to be pretty damn good on offense. A healthy amped Auburn wasn’t bad either. OU defense beat the shite out of auburns offense physically.

Michigan's D allowed the Mighty Nebraska to score more points on them than your 'all star' offense. lol

Auburn? come on man Oklahomo was gifted that game by the officials.

Can't wait until Tejas humbles you clowns.

You’re about to be very disappointed. OU is going to beat Texas. And manhandle Mizzou in Norman

Hey maybe you will beat Tejas but is that really anything to brag about?

One thing I do know is that Mizzou has a better chance of a playoff spot than Oklahomo.

You of course living in the past and on planet delusion can't see past the fact that you really haven't beaten anyone. Michigan is not good this year nor is Auburn no matter how hard you try to convince yourself.

I suppose if Mizzou would of played one week earlier vs. South Carolina when they were ranked we'd have a 'quality' win but instead Vandy beating them without Sellers their best player skyrockets up the rankings. lol

KInd of like if Syracuse would have played Clemson a week or two earlier, they'd have been ranked Top 20

Don't forget Auburn got ranked for beating Baylor right? Michigan? lol Well we all know they get the ND/Pen St/tOSU overrated treatment every year.

Well you sort of need good defense in the SEC.

LSU would possibly have a chance at it if they weren't worn out from carrying the offense all game.

Through 5 games, 3 of the top 5 in Total Defense are SEC Schools. That being said, here is how their opponents ranked in Total Offense.

Missouri:
Central Arkansas (FCS 40th - FBS 174th)
Kansas - 28th
Louisiana - 109th
South Carolina - 121st
UMass - 134th (out of 134 teams)
Average - 98
Weighted Average - 113

Oklahoma:
Illinois State (FCS - 42nd - FBS 176)
Michigan - 45th
Temple - 87th
Auburn - 105th
Average - 79
Weighted Average - 103

Texas:
Ohio State - 33rd
San Jose State - 65th
UTEP - 99th
Sam Houston State - 131st
Average - 82

*Weighted average adds 134 to the FCS rankings to weigh them behind FBS programs.

Texas being #4 is more impressive than Missouri and Oklahoma being #1 & #2 at this point.

As I stated in another post earlier, Mizzou hasn't really played anyone yet. It would probably be best to wait til we beat a team with a pulse before talking smut to other fan bases... Just sayin...

Our front 7 is honestly incredible. Our secondary will get worked by the upper SEC teams.
