This is our eighth trip to the Super Regionals under Bianco. We are 2-5 thus far. Our two wins came on the road though, so that's good.

Since we seem to be a HR or bust team, playing in Auburn's tiny little stadium works well for us.

The fact that Ole Miss has never won a Super Regional in Oxford is one of the most glaring embarrassments in the mediocre history of out athletic department

It really is quite embarrassing. It being 17 years since we've hosted one is ridiculous.

On its face, that's a fireable offense for Bianco.

Great guy. Good coach. Face of the program. National Champion.

I get all of that. But we should be in a Super every year. We should win half of the Supers we get to. And we should win Omaha every decade. That's the standard that Keith Carter has set. And that's what the program expects.

To be fair, Keith only took over in 2020. Since then:

2020 - ranked #1 when covid ended the season
2021 - lost game 3 of supers
2022 - won CWS
2023-24 - Never happened
2025 - Hosted regional and would have hosted super
2026 - Supers

So I would say outside of 2 years and 1 bad game against Murray State we are close to the standard.

Not having a chance to see what the 2020 team could do is an absolute travesty. Of all sports to cancel, baseball is probably the one with the least amount of player to player contact.

They could have easily played that season without risk or injury to players or fans. Could have played it without fans in the stadium.

It's easy to forget the fear, panic, and general overreaction that was absolutely all over the place back then

Well, he took over in 2019, which is notable because he came in and started cleaning up the Bjorked athletic department and fired Luke.
