Townsend can get strikeouts, Elliott can’t. If you know there will be base runners either way, I’d rather have the 1st round talent on the mound.

I hope we finally see Elliot control the strike zone tonight. Seems he hasn't been able to throw a breaking ball for a strike all season.

Elliot has luck on his side so far tonight with Auburn hitting into double plays. Feels like Auburn should have 4 or 5 runs right now.

We are somehow escaping each inning and hunter has a low pitch count but he isn’t not elite mode tonight at all

We all seem to be in clear alignment he is getting worked and I agree he was pretty fortunate to have two double plays to close out those innings. Auburn is connecting. Sheesh.. on other hand alvarez has 6 strikeouts now?

Alvarez is dealing. We need to keep getting his pitch count up. I know it's obvious, but the earlier we knock him out the better.
