Uniform watch

The white pants and powder blue jerseys are clean. I love the traditional ones but the powder blue just pops and makes us stand out so much more nationally than the traditional jerseys do.

They look good but I'm just kind of tired of them. That was our most worn uniform of late.

I honestly don't care either but I will make one exception. We should never ever wear the Nebraska uniforms.

The following rant is for me as much as anything, but it’s the only correct take out there.

We need a dual stripe on all of our pants just like we have on the grays. If we have powder blue helmets and numbers, we need powder blue and red dual stripe.
The dual stripe is unique to Ole Miss of all major brands. We need to lean in. Plain white is lame.

If we are matching up colors for helmets (not including white), jerseys, and pants, that gives us:

8-10 very clean and classic looks that everyone will know is Ole Miss when they look on the screen.

If you want to start mixing things up with white helmets and mixing and matching colors, we would have:

72 combinations without deviating from the iconic Ole Miss look.

All combos would have:

1. Single stripe helmet: Navy, Powder, White

2. Shoulder stripe jersey: Red, Navy, Powder + aways w/ Red, Navy, Powder numbers

3. Dual stripe pants: gray with navy/red stripe, gray with powder/red stripe, white with navy/red, white with powder/red.

3 helmets x 6 jerseys x 4 pants = 72

Add in the 3 color variations of a white helmet, you get 5x6x4 = 120 combos that don’t break the Classic Ole Miss rules. You could even keep going with navy helmet + powder stripe and logo…like 324 combos without deviating or dipping into red, blue, or powder pants or red helmets or anything. Not going to do the math on that. Y’all get it.

We are uniquely positioned to be simultaneously traditional and multiple. Like if Oregon and Alabama had a had a baby with way better colors.

I rest my case.

We'll be wearing those.

Once again, if we win I don't give two hoots what we wear. I will say, I've warmed up to all the powder stuff and that's probably from winning. Yes, gotta have a couple of stripes on the side of those white pants, otherwise, they are just practice pants.

Lastly, I suppose I'm a traditionalist because to me the navy headgear, red jersey and grey pants is the best uniform combo in college football.

That's a very close second for sure for me.
