Psh, I find it HIGHLY unlikely that we’d have four dudes wearing #1 in our WR corps...

Biggest people to watch in the coming weeks/months

WR Brandon Turnage (Oxford, MS). Need him to flip from bama and our WR group will be set for another 3 years.

DT Ishmael Sophser (LA). Not really sure how we got in on him but we made his top 7. If he somehow commits that would be huge. Need LSU to win 4 games and implode.

ILB Nakobe Dean (Horn Lake, MS). Kid would anchor our defense for 3 years. Not sure if he’s deadset on going out of state but he can pick anywhere in the country so it will be tough.

DE Derrick Hall (Gulf Port, MS). Another guy that can start from day one. LSU would have probably already stolen him if they didn’t have coach O as the HC.

We have 3-5 slots still open for this class from what people are saying. That’s enough room for us to swing big on these guys. All comes down to what happens Sept-Nov.

Flip watch IMO
Jarrion Jones.. He is on MS grind 7 on 7 with Mingo and Ealy. Pretty tight knit group.

Jaren Handy.. If I'm not mistaken his dad and Nix played together.

Jamond Gordon.. He apparently liked something early in the process, would expect a hard push to bring him back in.

Anyone know anything about the OT from Buford that is currently committed to OSU? He’s a 4 Star rated #2 at his position. We already have his teammate commited. What are the chances he’d flip?

We actually have two of Miller’s teammates committed. I would think that would at least crack the door open if Meyer gets fired. But I think Georgia would be his most likely destination.

Also, Jarrian Jones is not flipping to Ole Miss. We stopped recruiting him, and I’m pretty sure he has a strong dislike for Ole Miss now. He’s the one attempting to get all instate kids to State.

CJ Johnson did the same thing for a few years then got in a fight with Ole Miss fans at the Egg Bowl 2 months before signing day. Then he committed to us. All it takes is the right coach and right booster to get it done

Agreed. I hope the NCAA is wrapped up in OSU stuff so tNetwork can have a little more freedom to play hardball.

Mullen flipped Black, LB from Forrest this morning. That’s gonna sting in the end.

Everyone keeps saying he doesn’t have the grades.

So long as we don’t wait to long to trim fat it should pay off.

Bad loss for us, even if he doesn’t have the grades.

Not a huge loss, I doubt he would’ve made it to campus anyways. This is the third school he’s been committed to since March. Recruitment is far from over but I think we’ll be fine without him.

Black was a nice commitment where optics and rankings were concerned. It’s gonna be a couple years before he makes it to any 4 year campus if he puts in the work. I wish him well and maybe we can get back in the running for him down the road. That’s about all that needs to be said.

Fl doesn't have as high of an admission threshold as I thought.

Min. Req. ACT
Fl - 19
OM - 17

Im sure with the right academic assistance that would be two easy points to get

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is similar to Bama and Raekwon Davis

This may be good news concerning the MLB out of Horn Lake. Maybe Black got wind of his commitment forth coming, along with the commitment of the Lafayette MLB.

He may have seen that it was getting crowded and looked for another place to play. I still think he ends up at state.

Raekwon-esque in the sense that both MS schools think he’s too big a grade risk and can’t get him in, but he’s miraculously able to qualify in the arms of a big program

That being said, I don’t know anything about his actual academic standing outside of the longstanding rumors that he likely won’t qualify. There’s his whole senior year left...

ETA: Raekwon-esque, not sequel. Stupid autocorrect
