Not sure it’s fair to say he was “passed over”... if he didn’t want to play football so bad he would’ve gone first or second round no doubt.

An underrated part of Ealy playing both sports is that he will be an impact player in baseball who doesn’t use any scholarships since he gets one for football. At least I assume that’s how it works. Bianco has to love that.

If you want to see how corrupt the NCAA is and how wrong Title IX compliance is, you will have to look no further than college baseball. I don't think that any of them get a full scholarship. They essentially build a team out of partial scholarships divided up among the players. When you can get one on a scholarship for football or basketball, you do. This is a commonly accepted practice and I even remember Bianco thanking Cutcliffe for giving Seth Smith a football scholarship because he was a starter in baseball.

That’s more of a Mississippi issue than NCAA issue. Other states can have their public schools offer full baseball schollies and private schools obviously don’t have this issue period. frick Vanderbilt.

What a unique, reasonable, and rational statement.

Make RichRod and McIntyre Co-HC?

You want to make us into a bigger clown show? Only one way to do it.

Didn’t we just sign a 5* RB? And wasn’t our returning RB, coming off of 1033 APY and 14 total TDs, merely a 3*?

Not saying we shouldn’t want more than 3*s, but it was gonna be unlikely we signed a decent RB in this class anyway after landing Ealy. Not to mention we still have Pennamon, Woullard, Knight, and Snoop Conner, on top of Phillips and Ealy. If everyone has their way, Luke will be gone before we have to worry about someone behind Ealy anyway, and our second best rusher last year was a 2*.

Plus, if Tiger High wanted him, Bullock’s probably not complete shite. They’ve been far more effective rushing the ball than we have over the past multiple seasons, even dating back for Freeze, who we all know could do no wrong

We should want more than 3*s, but we’ve got a top 20 class that’s #notlast in the conference so far

We've been pretty good at the "hold my beer" move the past couple of years. It can always get worse. An institution without an AD firing a head coach (even a bad one) at this point has zero upside

The more I look at this recruiting class the more i like it. There's some real talent top to bottom. We are gunna blow this year though.

I'll give Luke credit for one thing throughout his coaching tenure - he has been able to recruit decently well given our circumstances. Last year's class had some good players in it (1 5*, 7 4*) and if he can continue to round out this class, it'll be another pretty good year in recruiting.
